Almost in Agreement

With no suprise the Tn Legislature has passed a trash voucher bill...and like any good comprimise...no-one is truly happy...Sam and I explore who the winners and losers will be of this program and I go way down the rabbit hole trying to understand the phisophical rationale (spoiler alert, I fail) 

Sam, Jennifer, and I break down HB1 of the upcoming special session...its amazing!  This is the stuff i love...we go deep both on whats in the bill as well as what this bill could mean.

The might SCOTUS holds true Congress's ban on Tik Tock...not Trump who hated it vows to bring it back...you know what they say here in East Tn.   If you dont like the weather...wait a while...it'll change...but this is how we spend our massive Government strength...you know not helping people rebuild after a desaster...or making life easier and more comfortable for each other...WE FIGHT OVER AN EN...

In a week full of news, none is greater than the passing of the 39th president, Jimmy Carter. We bring in our good friend Matt Shears all the way from North Carolina/Virginia or some other non-disclosed location to talk about it.  Sam and I chat about the attacks in New Orleans and in Vegas and so much more. 

Sam and I sit down to hash out the the best and worst of '24 and more importantly look ahead to some things worth looking forward to.  We at Almost in Agreement hope you have had a wonderful holiday season and a safe and happy New Year. 

The holidays aproacheth...lol...anywho Sam and I get caught up on the thises and thats of the week...Have a great one.

Sam and I work our way through the top stoires of the week...including NYC man goes free after killing a man on the subway, CEO Shooters, Local zoning and more. 

Ole Joe gives Hunter a Pass, the state of TN is defending its self infront of SCOTUS and an odd Georgia Law arrests a mom for her son walking to the store.

Sam and I are back after a week off...we chat P.I.L.O.T approvals, Turkey leftovers, a few Trump appointments and much much more. 

What an underwhelming event....it was however exciting to have an event that wasnt politics to pay attention to for a bit.

For US in East TN, nothing changes except we get a New POTUS.  So, around here...status quo is king...HOW do you feel about STATUS QUO...Sam and I cannot agree on economy...as usual. A historic Knoxville landmark burns to the ground...and much more.

Sam takes a road trip to the great state or Mizz to learn about thier ballot referendum on abortion and a final check in before election day. 

Sam and I pregame for Hollerboo. Get down with the crazy numbers in early voiting and so much more. 

Sam and I chat the rediclously unseriousness of polling centrer campain voilations, we touch on the massive turnout for day 1 of early voting, I do my perdictions for the 11/5/24...including my advise on city referendums 1 and 2.  

Box of TNT on fire in Knoxville...what a crazy story...I NEED TO KNOW MORE!  I'll let you know what I find...so Sam and I go down the rabbit hole of P.I.L.O.T programs and stadiums, Is the GOP losing its strong hold of Knox County, we think so...but the real question is why...

Sober October is upon us and Sam and I chat weather related issues in the region, the maddness of District 18 in the Tn house race and much more...

Well?  So Sam and I discuss the value of Jacob's former life in campagining on behalf of his Party's Senatorial pick Marsha Blackburn...we look into the evolution of the Old City and predict the future...

Sam and I fail on our Citizenship tests...thank god were natural born...or we'd be eating ducks in the park... Knoxville NIMBY's continue to run amok...Pager bombs in lebanon(that almost rhymes) and Morgan Wallen sells out Neyland...2 times in 1 weekend...(be ware flying bar stools)

Sam and I chat more on why school equality matters, if I speak against Harris does that mean I like Trump?  What other crazy do we go into? Gotta listen.

Quitin' Kennedy backs Trump, Sam and I argue over other peoples deffinition of 'invasion' a German Warship sparks a minor international kerflufel over the amazing John Williams, TN Schools are outing trans kids and more...I actually forgot about the Clerk story till the end...more to come on that.

Sam and I sit down a little early this week to chat whats been going on....Gay Street Bridge is doing its best impersination of the I-40 Bridge in Memphis, elections, the roll of the US Dept. of Ed. and more.
