It's Josh and Jilly! We share stories about our weekend in Houston. The worst part was being stuck on a plane next to a very large man who wouldn't stop coughing and sneezing. Also, our uber driver in Houston was sleeveless and smelly. Jilly feels like we should ban sick people from flights.

I was driving around Houston listening to local sports talk dweebs explain that the Texans are lucky to have CJ Stroud. No shit Sherlock. The Texans are dealing with so many issues, yet keep finding ways to win thanks to the big plays made by #7. I do think it's fair to ask how that game would have been different if Joe Flacco would have played.

Jilly and I were excited to make a trip to NRG to see the Texans. Sunday was a battle for first place in the AFC South. You wouldn't know it based on the vibes in the stadium. Of all the stadiums I've been to, NRG may be the worst atmosphere. It's not loud. The fans arrive late and leave early...in a close game! How is this possible?

I'm still beyond annoyed that LSU wasn't prepared for the A&M back up QB. How is this possible? This leads to a discussion about college football in general. Parity is a good thing. Jilly and I saw the new Michael Keaton movie "Goodrich". I liked it. It made me think of my own family. The NHL had its Frozen Frenzy on Tuesday. All 32 teams are playing. It's fun. Why don't they do this more often? Lebron and his kid produced manufactured history on Tuesday. Jilly lets me know that Foreigner is continuing their "Farewell Tour" and this leads me to a rant about has been rockers.

I had a bit of an epiphany this weekend. You may call it a moment of clarity. I think social media and sports betting has dehumanized athletes. I think it's pretty obvious. That said, should athletes just accept that as part of the job? The Texas fans throwing beer cans on the field is another example of this. The constant storming of the field after college games is another example of this.

For whatever reason, I've really enjoyed watching the Aaron Rodgers let Jets suck. It brings me great pleasure. Anywho, the real story isn't what Aaron didn't do. The story is what Russ Wilson did. This man deserves a shit load of credit for ballin'. The whole world was seemingly against him. It may not last. But, this is a possible redemption story. Oh...and the Steelers may actually be good.

After watching the Jets/Bills game, Texans fans shouldn't be scared of either one of these teams. Today is the anniversary of "Little Giants" hitting the big screen. This leads to a lengthy discussion of movies from our childhood and how those movies would be different in 2024. This discussion ruins most of these movies.

It was an awesome weekend of football...mostly college...some NFL Nick Sirianni, coach of the Eagles, is now fighting with fans. This led me to think about Philly fan..aka McDougall. I'm fascinated by the psychology of Philly fan. The Texans have a big time showdown with Green Bay this week. I love this game.

We've been drinking beer and enjoying a lovely day of NFL Football. The Texans won. That's good. I never felt they'd lose. But, was it as dominant as we wanted? The Eagles suck and Sirianni is gonna be out sooner than later. The Cowboys are stooges.
