In an ever increasingly chaotic world, the Bible teaches us to quiet our hearts and minds in order to hear more clearly from God, and to spare us the pain of distraction.

Jesus' resurrection is a proclamation of new life to all who believe in Him!

Jesus is crucified after he is mocked and beaten. He does this willingly, with immeasurable love in his heart.

As Jesus is handed over to the Romans, Peter refuses to admit that he knows Him. While being questioned by Pontius Pilot, Jesus hardly utters a word, but merely confirms the fact that He is the Messiah.

Jesus faces an unfair trial, full of men who have already determined his sentence.

Jesus prays in the garden, and asks his disciples to keep watch. Instead, they fall asleep, and He is left to face His final moments alone.

Jesus eats his last meal with his disciples, a passover meal, and announces that one of them will betray him.

A woman pours extremely expensive perfume on Jesus as an act of worship, but the disciples believe it was a waste.

Jesus describes His penultimate return, where He will establish His rule over the earth.

Jesus prophecies details of what the end of times will entail, and what we should do while we await His return.

Jesus teaches on the importance of giving our resources to the church.

When asked what the greatest commandment is, Jesus tells a scribe that loving God with our entire being and loving our neighbor as ourselves are the two most important things a person can do.

Here we see Jesus's enemies conspiring to kill him. However, Jesus in his wisdom decides to instead teach the gathering crowds, using a Roman coin as an example of what should be expected from a believer.

In this sermon, Jesus tells a parable about selfish tenants of a vineyard. The Pharisees want to kill him, but are afraid of eliciting a riotous reaction from the listening crowd.

Here we see Jesus acting in righteous anger, bursting into the temple and flipping over the tables of those who turned the house of prayer into a marketplace.

In this passage, we see two disciples asking Jesus to appoint them as powerful rulers after they assume he is entering Jerusalem to take political power. He then sets the example of why he really came by healing a blind man who has faith in him.

Jesus says "let the little children come to me", and then tells a very rich young man what he needed to do in order to be saved.

Jesus teaches on the reality of hell, and uses hyperbole to show us how we should deal with our sin.

Jesus defines what true greatness is by flipping the script on what the rest of humanity teaches. His disciples, though, have yet to catch on, and still think Jesus is there to give them power, and to help Israel regain its former glory.

Jesus is approached by a man whose son is possessed by a demon that not even the disciples were able to cast out. We see Jesus' emphasis on having faith in His power, and the importance of prayer.

God the Father reveals the identity of Christ as a few of the disciples behold the glory of God in the form of a cloud. Among them appear Moses and Elijah. Their surreal experience brings a heavy message for modern-day believers.

When Jesus asks his disciples, "Who do you say I am?", Peter immediately replies "you are the Christ!". However, a few moments later, we see that Peter's idea of what Jesus had come to accomplish was much different than Christ's true mission. We are challenged in this sermon to align our expectations of Jesus with the mission he set himself!

All Souls member and retired minister Tom Kendall preaches from the Psalms, showing how David called out to God amidst his struggles. Tom also provides examples from his own life, giving witness to the incredible hand of God in the lives of those who seek Him!

In this sermon, we see Jesus as the ultimate provider. The disciples, despite seeing some amazing miracles, still don't seem to understand the fact that Christ will provide for all of their (and our) needs.
