Our first 81 episodes are what we now consider APNC 1.0 with our original crew: Opie, Pete, Kevin, Alex, and later, David. Through the onset of COVID and life changes, the podcast began to evolve. It was the end of an era, but we loved this crew and the memories we made. You'll notice that our earliest episodes are not on YouTube. The addition of video was never in the plans, but came to life as a surprise side effect of COVID. Going into 2022, Pete and Kevin took the show in a new direction after losing the rest of the original crew. They found their groove almost immediately with appearances...

111. Preying on Batgirl Or Tangents Prove That DC Is Still Clueless 18.08.2022

Attendance is low this week and it's just Kevin, Pete, and Andrew in this session. That said, even without Kim to keep them under control, the guys stay very topical this week. Of course the hot topic of the week is the new Hulu film and Predator prequel, Prey. Much like all of the other internet buzz the guys are all over this one. Not to spoil anything, but they obviously loved it and have no qu...

110. What Makes a Strong Female Or Kim Tries To Stop Three Idiots Mansplaining 18.08.2022

This week, Kim gets the gang in line by getting everyone in touch with their feminine side. Except Andy. He's not allowed to get in touch with himself on camera. But everyone else takes the opportunity to talk about some of the best female characters in TV and film. There's a lot to unpack here and Kim has a lot of work to do, keeping the buffoons in line. She does the job admirably and the gang m...

109. SDCC Recap Or We Got The Memo. You Can Have Kim and Andrew Back! 18.08.2022

Ok, guys, message received. Pete and Kevin are the old guard and Andrew and Kim are the fan favorites. While we're not ready to put the old fossils out to pasture just yet, we did make sure to get Kim and Andrew back this week so we don't lose any more viewers! Don't worry, Kevin is definitely not sensitive and crying in a corner right now. As for the episode, the full gang goes all in on SDCC. As...

108. Pete Talks Stranger Things Or Oops We Did It Again... 18.08.2022

Pete's back this week so obviously everyone else decided not to show up. I swear he keeps his clothes on... Anyhow, this week is mostly dominated by Pete returning to talk about Stranger Things, since he has missed all of the good chat over the last few weeks. Since he started from the beginning, he has many thoughts and ideas about the whole of the show, so buckle up! Once the guys break away fro...

107. Love & Thunder & The Kitchen Sink Or A Girl? What?! Is She Lost?!? 18.08.2022

This week we have a new guest for the first time in a very long time. And the guest is… female!!! WTF is going on over here on the production side? But before we get to Kim, Kevin decided to discuss the elephant not in the room, Pete. Pete was out for surgery this week and, well, Kevin tells the heartbreaking tale at the start of the show. After that, the show gets going with a bit of a getting to...

106. The Stranger Marvel Boys Or Deja Vu All Over Again 18.08.2022

In a strange (ooh, a pun?) turn of events, this weeks show is somehow almost last weeks show! Pete and Andy are lost in the wind leaving Kevin and Andrew to fend for themselves. This allows them to talk about the only things they seem to know, Stranger Things and Ms Marvel. Okay, thats a bit of an exaggeration. Andrew also breaks down some of The Boys without getting too spoilery. He also discusse...

105. An Uncharted Journey Through Stranger Things, Kenobi, & Ms. Marvel Or What The Focus?! 18.08.2022

This week is another APNC first. Only two of the guys show up and none of them are Pete or Andy. Don’t you worry all you thirsty ladies (and gentlemen?), these beefcakes, like Frosty the Snowman, will be back again someday. This leaves you with Kevin hosting and Andrew co-hosting. What happens when the guys hit record is almost unprecedented in recent APNC history: a show with almost NO TANGENTS....

104. Three Men and a Grab Bag Or is Pete a Scientologist?!? 13.08.2022

There is no describing this episode properly. This week is an epic tale of tangents. It’s almost impressive what the guys DIDN’T talk about. Pete talks a bit of Stranger Things, Andrew talks about the Leah Remini Scientology docu-series. Kevin talks about the now classic Sci-Fi series, Fringe and the new FX series The Old Man. None of that takes up even a 10th of the episode, as the rails are comp...

103. Ms. Marvel’s Dominion or Andy Sucks at Trivia (Still) 02.07.2022

This week, the guys have another mixed bag approach, but focus heavily on Jurassic World Dominion and the first episode of Ms. Marvel. They also try to talk about other relevant things, but it turns out that they are collective slackers and currently have several holes in their knowledge. Don’t worry, we’ll dock their pay accordingly.   The Jurassic World talk is fun, but only for Kevin and Pete....

102. Stranger Things and Shining Girls And X-Men, Oh My! Or Andrew Learns About Mad Libs 02.07.2022

Episode 102 - Stranger Things and Shining Girls And X-Men, Oh My! Or Andrew Learns About Mad Libs   Back to their slightly less structured selves this week, the guys burn through an extended "what they've watched" segment. This, as you'd imagine, leads to some tangents and general shenanigans. It also leads to a remarkably interesting talk about the X-Men films.    In the second half, they guys pl...

101. A Tribute To Ray Liotta Or Structure - We Did It (Mostly) 02.07.2022

The guys are back this week and trying something new - structure. Pete runs the guys through an ordered list of topics. Everyone gets to focus on one thing and Kevin breaks down the week in news. That starts off as a treat with the Star Wars Celebration and then goes down the glory road with a remembrance of Ray Liotta. That conversation is generally upbeat and respectful to Ray, but it gets reall...

100. The Century Mark or Pete and Kevin Reminisce Until Andrew Saves the Day 25.05.2022

On the 100th episode, Pete and Kevin shed not only the culture, but the pop, too. Rather than talk about anything current, they go sentimental route and reminisce about their podcast journeys. Before they get there, though, they start getting more woke than they have any right to be.   When they finish looking back, they start to look ahead, but not before going on a Trek tangent which is a prelud...

99. It's A MARVELously STRANGE MOON KNIGHT or Kevin Apologizes Profusely For His Transgressions 11.05.2022

The four horsemen of the nerdpocalypse get together and discuss the most recent things from the MCU: the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, Moon Knight and Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Dont let the acceptable run time fool you, there are tangents a'plenty as the proverbial conductors strain to keep everything on track. If you see only one movie this year, that's fine because this is a pod...

98. Did The Batman Fix the DCEU? or Kevin Drifts Away Like An Enya Song 05.05.2022

You get something special this week: A slight peak behind the curtain. A portion of the begining of this episode are some preshow antics and the boys dicussing new format possibly. Let us know what you think of the ideas. The guys kick off the official show with some good stories. Pete shares a story about a trip to the local live theatre. If you participated in theatre at any point, you'll really...

97. Dark Mirror and the New DCEU or Pete Saves You Time by Not Showing Up 05.05.2022

This week, the guys manage to keep it tight(ish). With Pete out, there's only Kevin and the Andy's to make this machine go. After last weeks marathon, the guys were happy to keep it tight. Andrew starts it off with a discussion that heavily centers on one if his favorite genre's, Anime. Of course he covers Attack on Titan, but he also covers what he does and doesn't love in the genre in general. I...

96. Making Peace with Tangents or Pete Watched Little and Discussed Much 05.05.2022

This week on the show, Pete kicks things off in the Wayback Machine by talking Ted Lasso. Andrew hasn’t watched it so Pete and Kevin took advantage of this chance to talk about Ted Lasso for an eternity. As per the usual, Ted Lasso talk leads to talk of Schitts Creek which Pete has, somehow, not watched. Pete then discusses the Adam Sandler classic Big Daddy.   Next up comes an impressive tangenti...

95. A Tribute to Bruce Willis or Zoom Makes a Mockery of the Recording Process 04.05.2022

This week is eventful in so many ways. For the first time in a long time, both Andy and Andrew are present. And for another first time in a long time moment, Pete isn’t there to start the show. Sadly, he does show up, but the And(y)(rew)s stick around anyways.    It’s important to note that Kevin’s Zoom recording crashed several times during this episode so any bad cuts can be blamed on Zoom, not...

94.The Oscars or Andrew Tolerates 2 Woke White Guys 30.03.2022

94.The Oscars or Andrew Tolerates 2 Woke White Guys This week, the show kicks off with two jokes. Thanks to the magic of editing, we only subject you to one. And for that, I still apologize. That gets the guys into a very straight forward segment where the guys discuss the Oscars and make their picks for each category. Except they make it far too complicated and, much like Guy Fieri with flavor, t...

93. To Boldly Go Where We’ve All Gone Before 23.03.2022

If you came here looking for a Star Trek Episode then… Sike!!! But we do talk for a minute about Psych, which has appearances from both George Takei and William Shatner. See how we bring it around? This week the guys, without planning it, mostly talk about older shows or shows they’ve already talked about. Don’t worry, that makes it no less interesting. Sadly, it doesn’t make it any MORE interesti...

92. The APNC Project - Or Why Isn’t The Batman on HBO Max 16.03.2022

The guys roll straight from the pre-show into the show. You get some good comedy, then some podcast goodness, and then a trip down retro road to Smallville, Kansas. The guys then just jump into the madness with Pete rattling off the stuff on HBO Max that he loved. We get Pete to talk about Basketball, which is no small feat. As usual, that devolvs into a journey into the tangent-verse. Do you love...

91. Yeah...Ummmm...Good Luck 09.03.2022

Wow...This one starts quick and just keeps rolling, and rolling, and rolling (you get the picture). Andy starts off with a discussion about Peacemaker and things seem to go well until Pete finds a list...and he drives to show into the wee dawn hours before Kevin can get going on LOST. Poor bastard.... This is a long one folks. Try to enjoy. Just dont hate us, or at least only hate Pete, and tell y...

90. A New Edition of Complete Tangentry 02.03.2022

Wow. Just Wow. Kevin, Andrew and Pete got a late start to recording this week and it shows. This ones a little more "all over the place" then usual.  We get the usual "what have you watched?" conversation, then Andrews regales Pete with tales of a New Edition/Jodeci/Charlie Wilson concert which has Kevin quietly staring at the screen for 30min. They close things out by covering 3 episodes of LOST...

89. Andy's Prettier on Mute 23.02.2022

Tomfoolery, ballyhoo, hijinks and most importantly shenanigans are all to be found in this weeks offering. 2 Andrews, a Kevin and a Pete are full of life and opinions this week as they cover the sports ball trailers, some fun streaming picks and of course, LOST. Enjoy, and tell your mom we said "Suuuuuup!"

88. Pete Loved Jackass. Like, a lot. 18.02.2022

This week sees the guys once again swap Andrew for Andy. This means a little more anime talk, but that's not a bad thing! Andrew is very excited over a couple of Anime Award shows and their chosen winners.    Once he's done, Pete takes over the show. And I mean TAKES OVER. In one week he seems to have watched everything under the sun, but he REALLY wants to tell you about Jackass Forever. And he d...

87. 1:37 Is an Excellent Time to Learn About Andy 09.02.2022

Pete and Kevin have the other Andrew this week (Andy), and it goes exactly how you would expect.  Any has to defend a dubious statement, then the boys play catch-up. Then its on to LOST!! They close out the show with some tomfoolery, and shennanigans. Enjoy! Like, subscribe, and share.
