Ephesians 6:4 - "...provoke not your children to wrath..."

Ephesians 6:4 - "...bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

Ephesians 6:4 - "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Luke 2:52 - "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

Ephesians 6:1-4 -"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

Ephesians 5:33 – “Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence (respect) her husband.”

Tim Christoson said, “The fulness of the Spirit is the door through which we enter the happy and healthy Christian home.”

Ephesians 5:18 - “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit, The 19 verses that follow this command are the most complete instructions on family relationships found in the Bible. We are powerless to follow these instructions and to accomplish the unity He desires without the Spirit’s enabling.

This is an excerpt from a message I preached a few years ago at Elk Point Baptist Church concerning God's Christmas Tree.  I Peter 2:24 - "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” We will continue our study on Ephesians tomorrow! 

Ephesians 5:21 - "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

Ephesians 5:19-20 - "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"

This Spirit-Filled transforming power will begin to produce results in your life. That’s what we discover in Ephesians 5:19-21 In those verses, we find – Five characteristics of the Spirit-Filled Life. Speaking Singing Making melody Giving thanks Submitting

Ephesians 5:18 - "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;"

Jonah 2:9 - "But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord." What Jonah thought was his final breath was a praise to God.  Listen as Pastor Michael wraps up part one of our Jonah series!
