I was so excited to record this episode…I “left it all on the field” as they say.  One of my main goals in life is to pass down as much as I can to future generations.  In this episode, I discuss how I plan to do so and what I have learned along the way…wow, it’s a lot!

When I published “Why I Worry” (one of my first episodes), I detailed how I am concerned about all big picture things that will eventually impact ALL OF US.  This week is the perfect example of what I mean.  I’ve said before that my content is not time stamped…well, this one is…for obvious reasons.

This subject has been on the list since the beginning.  A recent encounter brought is top of mind.

In this episode, I explore the combination of factors I’ve found that add up to a very  concerning scenario on the horizon that appears unavoidable.  But, also, what we can do to prepare for riding it out…and what options we should be examining.

In this episode, I reflect on some human skills I feel we are losing and why I’m concerned.  Critical thinking was a requirement for most of my life…is it still necessary?   What’s replacing it?   And most importantly, are we passing it on to the next generation?

In this light-hearted episode, I take a look at the evolution of friendships at this stage of life.  How and who we stay in touch with and how we might change some things for the better.

“Good Enough”…those words got stuck in my head.  Then I had to ask myself the hard question…”if good enough is not in your vocabulary, then what are you doing instead?”  This episode is me kicking me in the butt to get back to what used to work.

In this episode, I shine my light on the new challenges I see in the workplace.  This one we can fix!  It will take a coordinated effort by many, but it can be done. 

In this episode, I explore a subject I knew nothing about 2 years ago.  I had multiple experiences that pointed me to this subject and I had to share it with you.  I believe these experiences tell me that I am on the right track.

This is the most hard-hitting, honest, self reflective episode so far.  Midlife is not easy…this is probably the biggest issue I’m wrestling with.  I had to ask myself some really hard questions and come to grips with even harder answers.

In this episode, I take on a subject near and dear to me…from a non-political angle.  We should all have pride in our country…one that affords us the opportunities we all wish for and strive to attain.

I heard a comment recently by a well-known speaker,…he said, “the promise is no longer valid”.  He was referring to the traditional life model…get a good education, get a good job, work hard, and save money until you no longer need to work (i.e. retire).  In this episode, I explore some of the scary numbers published by the New York Fed and ask the question…is the promise still valid?
