现代作家李劼人，一八九一年生，四川成都人。一九三六年春，日军飞机轰炸成都，李劼人从城内疏散到郊外沙河堡乡间，后在一菱角堰边建筑了自己以黄泥筑墙、麦草为顶的栖身之所，他在门楣上还题了“菱窠”匾额。菱是一种生在池沼中，根扎在泥土里的草本植物；窠即鸟虫的巢。作家将自己的家以“菱窠”名之，颇有竹篱野舍的逸趣，或许也蕴涵了这位被誉为乡土小说作家植根民间的文学理想。一九五九年，李劼人用稿费将故居翻建成今天这个一正一厢带阁楼的样子。他在此一共生活了二十四年，直至一九六二年去世。其间，他创作了反映解放前夕畸形经济和畸形人性的长篇小说《天魔舞》，修改重版了长篇小说三部曲《死水微澜》《暴风雨前》《大波》，它们以成都为...
