Holiness comes from a deep reverence for and fear of the Lord. We are now under the new covenant through the blood of Jesus made holy, but the reality of the absolute holiness of God, and the greatness of God should still bring us to a posture of the fear of the Lord. And it's that fear of the Lord, that will give us a hatred of sin, and drive us to purge it out of our lives.

The richness of the blessings from belonging to a spiritual are eternal because the relationships are eternal in nature. Growth, accountability, guidance and joy is found in belonging to family.

Melchizedek did not become a great priesthood on earth yet the scripture says Melchizedek was greater than Abraham. There is a spiritual authority that is accompanied with intimacy with God, and people who walk in faithfulness to him are able to grow deeper in that relationship.

From the beginning the invitation has been to start in the delight of God from a place of rest. In rhythms of rest are blessing. This set apart time is an invitation to encounter the divine.

Last time, we looked at two aspects of being in the spirit: consciously engaging with and cooperating with the spirit in prayer and in the way that we see other people. In this teaching, we carry forward that discussion and talk about practical helps in learning how to be aware and led by God's Spirit.

The ancient ways of God are ways of life. There is only one way to have a vibrant and healthy inner life, one way to have freedom in your heart, in your spirit, in your mind, and that is through Jesus Christ by walking with God. The way to a victorious life is following the ancient paths of God.
