The wilderness is unpredictable and uncomfortable, but God uses 'wilderness' times in our lives to speak to us. We will hear His voice, but we will also hear the voice of the enemy, trying to convince us that God cannot be trusted.

How do we engage with people when conversations are difficult, uncomfortable or deal with intensely personal subjects when our world and the culture are deeply divided from God's purpose and perspective. 

We are continuing our August special speaker series. Please welcome Jeremy Waldridge, Executive Director of Pure Life Alliance, as he shares with us "The Bible and Human Sexuality".

"So God created people in His own image, God patterned them after Himself; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27 We continue in our August series, "God's Good Design: Sexuality and Gender".  

Truth is a sticky word these days. Jesus said that He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. The world does not embrace Christ followers because we are not conformed to this world and its ways. Be bold and proclaim the LOVE of Christ to this world who so desperately needs Him.

"For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until He comes again." The Lord's table is a sacred and holy place and when believers in Jesus gather together around this table, they experience His mercy and His grace and His forgiveness. This is communion.

Unforgiveness wreaks havoc because it is borne from sin. Someone has been hurt, sometimes deeply, and as a result relationship is broken. Forgiveness is often not a choice we can make on our own - it's hard. But we need to forgive - and we are able to forgive - because we are ourselves have been forgiven a debt we could never repay.

We are continuing the 2022 "Better Together" series and diving into how the church ought to - and who ought to - respond to difficult situations regarding its members. We know the LORD desires repentance, reconciliation and unity between believers. How can we, as a church family, achieve that end when things get sticky?  

When we deny personhood to people who are created image bearers of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, there is no telling what evil we can do. 

There is something special that happens when believers gather together on Sunday morning. We come full of hope and holding on to the promises of God for the future. Let us be encouraging toward one another as we walk forward following Jesus. 

Imagine what it must have been like to witness the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. What did those many wide eyes see? What did their ears hear? God's empowering presence, coming upon the people, fulfilled many generations of Messianic prophecy and even the words of Jesus Himself. It really must have been something...  

It's starting to get real. Jesus is telling his disciples all about what it means - and what it will take - to follow Him. Are they ready, willing, and able to begin an adventure like this?

Jesus has now appeared three times to his disciples since having been raised from the dead. They know him. They trust him. They love him. Jesus is preparing them to go out into the world, and in the spirit of reconciliation, draw others in to follow the Messiah.

We're picking back up the "50 Days of Easter" series that takes us from Jesus' resurrection to His ascension into heaven. The disciples get a surprise visitor - that encounter has a life changing effect on those followers of Jesus. How has that same encounter changed your life?

Can you look back and see the faith of your mother? Your grandmother? Maybe it's a long history of faith stretching back to their own mothers and grandmothers, instilling in you a sincere and deep faith in the LORD. What a beautiful gift.

Three days of deep sorrow and fear. People were plagued by uncertainty and disbelief…their LORD was dead. But in those early morning hours on the third day, the tomb was a busy place. Those who loved Jesus had gathered near and the large stone covering the entrance was moved. Jesus' body was no longer there, but it wouldn't be long before someone realized where he went.

Mary & Martha... their brother Lazarus. They were all called out of the darkness, albeit in vastly different ways, into the presence of the Messiah. Because of what Christ has done on the cross, one day we too will be called out of our present darkness into His glorious light!

Our heavenly Father knows our daily needs - food & water, clothing, shelter. But can we trust Him for the deeper, more profound insecurities in life?   We don't need to ask  "to whom shall we go?"  because we've placed our trust in the One who has given us eternal life. 

"Do you want to get well?" It's the question Jesus asked the man at the pool of Bethesda who had been paralyzed for 38 years. What is your answer? Do YOU want to get well?

Face to face is where life is found and fear is defeated.

Jesus is the Giver of real life and joy to all who believe in Him .

The life of this party wasn't the DJ or the bridesmaid who had one drink too many. At this party, the revelation of Jesus' character, and His desire to meet the needs of these people at this time, was on display. Wine in abundance and joy for living out lives with Him.

"Who cares?"  If someone came up to you, or in conversation, expressed that point of view and felt their contribution was being utterly overlooked, could your name be given?
