Adoption Adventures

I have had a few moments to experience loss, grief, and a build-up of emotions lately, having just completed a training course I was prepped and ready for feeling the feelings, but that doesn't stop them from being there!!   That being said, it has been a great opportunity to see Little Dude stepping up and being just a bit more amazing! 

The ASF was recently approved for another year, I have been speaking with adopters and social workers alike and have been having some great conversations about what the ASF is in place for and how it is working, it has caused me to do some thinking and considering, I would love to hear what you think of it all.

Anna reached out to me, she has an incredible story to tell. Anna is a solo adopter who has a birth child and then adopted from concurrent placement (very similar to foster to adopt or Early Permanence) and then went on to adopt her sons sibling a few years later.    Her story is incredible and should help those who are thinking about the various ways that families can be made.

It can be a real tricky one when our children outwardly blame others for their behaviours and look to avoid dealing with the issue, so I am hoping that I have some tips which could help.
