Repeat offenders and bail 26.04.2023

  Adam speaks with Elenore Sturko, BC United MLA & Critic for Mental Health, Addiction, Recovery & Education. The Crown opposed bail in roughly half the cases involving crimes of violence with an accused that was already on bail, but judges ordered detention in only one-quarter of those cases. This is according to data collected from bail hearings, released by the B.C. Prosecution Service.
