Yahweh is God’s first name. This name reveals His nature as a personal God who desires a personal relationship with His people. In Exodus 33, Moses wanted to experience God. He wanted to behold God’s presence and beauty so He could know Him better. God could not allow Moses to see His face, but He let His glory and presence pass by him. God wants you to know His name to encounter His glory. He is...

Elohim is the Hebrew word used over 2500 times to describe the sovereign God of creation. It implies the all-powerful nature of God, who is self-existing outside of time and space. Elohim implies a plurality of majesty, which is the triune nature of God. It does not imply that there are multiple gods, but one God, with a triune Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. All of creation reflects the image...

Religion takes the symbols of our salvatio...

What do you do when the worst thing you can imagine becomes your reality? What do you do when life doesn’t go as planned and takes a detour? Job’s story is a well-known story of grief, perseverance, and patience. His life was on track then disaster hit. His life went from bad to worse. But does Job’s story also give us a pattern of how to respond when life gets messy? Yes! Job did 3 things during...

The goal of discipline in Christian parenting is to aim our children toward God so they become godly people – not just “good” people! If your aim is anything less than for your kids to be godly, you have the wrong aim. Every castle has walls and gates. Walls are for protection, and gates are for preparation. Biblical Christian parenting calls us to shape our children’s hearts into Christlikeness....

Satan’s strategy to bring about our family’s destruction is always through family division, but the goal in times of division should always be redemption. WHAT A CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE SHOULD LOOK LIKE We live in a time of self-idolatry and anarchy. Homes around us are suffering because couples aren’t willing to die to their flesh and serve their spouses. When you say, “I do,...

You might build a house, but only the Lord can build your home. If your house is not built on the firm foundation of God’s Word, it will not be able to withstand the storms of life. YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT LOCATION AND THE RIGHT FOUNDATION! The difference between homes that last and homes that don’t are where they’re built and how they’re built! You must make the Son of God the location and t...
