Wow, isn’t that true!?!?!? When we sin…not IF… but WHEN we sin, it has this tendency to distance us from God. And that’s not God’s doing. That’s OUR doing. As Pastor Dave just mentioned, our focus is off. We are focusing on the wrong thing. We need to confess and repent of our sins regularly and trust in the finished work of the cross.

As a follower of Jesus, you’ve been given a gift. It’s the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit IS the living water that flows out of your life and into the lives of others. But it requires a choice on your part. Today, Pastor Dave will challenge all of us to be conduits of the blessings of heaven to those around us. 

It’s hard for us to even fathom what perfection even is. This world has tainted everything we could dream of when it comes to perfection. It’s tarnished and damaged by the effects of sin. But, as Pastor Dave just said, heaven is going to be a place that is perfect for King Jesus and perfect for His followers.

Can you imagine that right now? Angels are serving you and me right now. Maybe they are protecting us…maybe thwarting an attack of the enemy. It’s not something we think about very often , but it’s one of the many blessings and benefits of being a follower of Jesus.

Sin is an oppressive and insurmountable condition that all of us are born into. We can try to conquer it through good works and the law, but it destroys us from within. But as Pastor Dave will encourage us in today’s message, Jesus has overcome sin, and when you trust in Him, you can overcome it through His power.

Righteous living doesn’t often come with fanfare or great rewards. You may feel a sense of peace in your conscience, but instead of praise , the world will criticize you. As Pastor Dave will encourage us in today’s message, this world is not our home. Our righteousness will be greatly rewarded in Heaven .

Some like to imagine God as a distant, cruel Deity who’s just waiting for the chance to destroy imperfect humans. God went to great lengths to have a relationship with us, and it saddens His heart to turn away those who reject Him.

God is perfectly Holy. He can’t be around sin at all. So, as Pastor Dave will warn in today’s message, even if you live a nearly perfect life, one sin makes you unholy and incompatible with Him. The Good News is that Jesus has offered atonement for your sin, wiping your record clean and making you holy in God’s sight.

Once you pass away, your soul is destined to burn and rot in hell. However, if you choose to embrace salvation through Jesus , you’ll get to live eternally with God after this life!

There will come a time on earth when the financial world as we know it will be no more. And we’ve seen glimpses of this during COVID…store shelves empty and people clamoring for the simplest of things like toilet paper. Thankfully, Pastor Dave will state today that YOU, as a follower of Jesus, won’t be here during this time.

Pastor Dave could NOT be MORE right!!! Our world is truly obsessed with money. Stop and think about the last time you jumped on social media or watched TV…ad after ad after ad after ad!!! They are always trying to appeal to our sinful human desires for more and more.

JESUS and JESUS alone. Did you hear that a moment ago, listener? Pastor Dave emphatically told us that we need to BEWARE of any “other” way that is presented to us. And in this world that we live in, there are A LOT of “other ways” that are being presented. Hold fast to Jesus and Jesus alone.
