A Sure Hope

Sometimes, in our walk with God, we can become too comfortable with our surroundings. We often find ourselves caught in a rhythm between what we enjoy and what doesn't challenge us. But today, Pastor Dave reminds us to allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, even if that means stepping outside of our comfort zones.

Sometimes, we look at what Jesus did on the cross and forget just how significant it was. We might think, “I know He died for my sins, but can He really forgive me for this?” Today, Pastor Dave wants you to understand that Jesus didn’t sacrifice His life on the cross for just a few of your sins—He did it for every sin, both past and future.

Isn’t it great to see how Jesus was the forerunner for everything we get to experience?  Because He defeated death, He showed us that we can do the same, thanks to His sacrifice for our sins on the cross.  Today, Pastor Dave expresses the fulfilling joy that we can have as we look forward to being resurrected, as Jesus was!

Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that in the moment you help someone out, you’re showing Christ’s love to them?  What about giving up your seat on an airplane for the sake of that married couple sitting next to each other?  Pastor Dave makes it clear today that the Holy Spirit works in ways that point people to Christ!

Do you call yourself a follower of Christ? That would make you a disciple. And all disciples are called to love each other.
