A holistic approach to healthy living On Earth as it is in Heaven

How do we go about fighting evil with good, especially when the government is pointing us in the wrong direction? There are ways we can help our society and increase our own immunity to the evil that’s being promoted.

Things in this universe happen in cycles: planetary (which are out of our control), as well as economic, technological and social and political. How we react to these latter cycles will determine how well it goes for us, as an individual and as a country.

We need to know what farmers are seeing.  However, legacy media is not letting us in to their reality.  So, farmers have decided to come out in protest to let everyone know what is going wrong.

Three completely unrelated news stories all reflect this problem that small business is having under this political philosophy.

Let’s take a look at some examples of ways that the Legacy Media has used words to influence our thinking.  Do we do this to ourselves too?

While having a feet firmly planted on the ground and at the same time, looking to the Heavens, our posture can go a long way to improving our life.

I relate some more recent news stories and points which I believe they’ve missed. Legacy media seem to no longer be willing or able to give both sides of a story, or alternative viewpoints and possibilities.

I recount the event where I went from not being sure if I should trust the media, to having all doubt removed.  I relate a few stories in Canada in the past two years that demonstrate why and what we can all do about it.

The DEI and ESG requirements laid out by international organizations are affecting us all, and not for the better.  The theory behind it sounds good, until you really think about it. Where does it set our focus, and where does our focus need to be?

As we see all kinds of things going on around us, it is important for us to recognize the gifting and authority that we have been given to create with our Creator.

Of course, we are against hate speech.  The problem is trying to agree on what it is, exactly.  Even harder, is determining how anyone should go about enforcing it. Let’s look at how we can better handle it, as individuals, and as a society.

In their latest Bill, the Canadian government proposes to make changes to their Human Rights Act.  And prevent someone from speaking whom they fear is going to use hate speech.  The biggest problem is: who gets to decide what is hate speech and what someobody will do in the future??!

This law proposes to create a new closed-door commision to decide if what you posted was hate speech, but it all depends which group you were angry with.  By taking what is a parent’s responsibility,  they become Big Brother of us all.  

Some thoughts on the importance of being a little more intentional about the words we use when speaking to others, and even to ourselves.

In their apparent attempt to keep children safe from online harm, they are actually doing more harm to all of society. In this law, the government takes the parents responsibilty and gives it to multinational corporations.

If we are paying attention, and know what to look for, it is obvious that certain issues are being used for political advantage, to divide and conquer.  As Christians, we don’t have to be outsmarted by political parties and news outlets like that.

By looking around at the world around us with spiritual eyes, we can determine whether it is harvest time, or planting season.  lt is important to know!

So, the government is proposing a new regulation for media.  Why should I care?  Well, the last legal change forced a platform to negotiate a contract with news outlets.  What do you think are the possible implications of  these outlets getting an extra $100 million, thanks to the government?

Are we truly prepared to love our enemies?  How about listening to their side of the story?  All truth does not reside in the legacy media.  Of course, we have to match it to the truth we see in scripture, but maybe we can learn something, and even maybe put our own biases in check.

Dealing with tough issues is part of our spiritual growth, if done with the right motivation. Faith is acting, not just agreeing with somebody.  That’s when God is glorified!

The ramifications of the court fine against Donald Trump are going to hurt all New Yorkers, whether truckers get involved or not.  It’s just the way the universe is designed.

The philosphical approach commonly seen in media and government inevitably leads to an ‘us and ‘them’ attitude.  The economic policies is exacerbating this natural effect of the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer.

The government and media are keen to blame grocery stores for the increase in our food prices.  What really is the root cause of these high prices?

We need to be aware of what situations governments are creating by what they do, rather than just what they say they are doing.  Let’s take a closer look!

On the 2nd anniversary of the convoy, there are reasons to mourn and to celebrate.  In the midst of both, we always have the freedom to choose Christ’s way of gratitude and forgiveness.
