In this interview, Fr. Meconi talks about Augustine's role in his own academic studies, CS Lewis as an expositor of the Christian tradition, and why Augustine is not too "other-worldly." We return to my Africans Against the World series this week. I will be finishing up some discussion about monasticism and acedia and then move on to Cyril of Alexandria. Cyril is an extremely important figure in the elucidation of what we mean when we say that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Almost any contemporary Christian uses this terminology and it would not exist without Cyril.

This episode brings in a new voice: Dr. Drew Harmon. Drew is a friend of Chad's from seminary and did his doctorate on virtue and the Trinity at Marquette University.
