Tonight Bruno Fiacco joins the podcast to talk about three projects he is working on and the importance of pacing oneself. We also reiterate the value of epilepsy awareness month and why November is so important for AHFE.

Don’t be afraid to try to live as best as you can even if that means planning it out in advance. It’s ok as long as you are being safe and paying attention to your needs.

AHFE has been hard at work on a number of projects that we would like to start sharing with you as well as creating new content for Epilepsy Awareness Month which is all November long.

Get out there and see what you are passion about. Time is only going forward so why wait to do what you love?

Really think about everything presented to you as you don’t want to have any regrets about opportunities that could have been positive.

Most seizures end in a short time and instead of trying to hold someone, you should make sure the person is safe from injury by cushioning their head and placing them on their side.

Making time to be around those that understand what you go through everyday is vital as these people are your main support. We also discuss plans for the remainder of the year and why November and Epilepsy Awareness Month is the best way to raise awareness and kick off #GivingTuesday and year end giving.

It’s important to understand your health and what you may need or want from a healthcare worker. If you have an organization like AHFE you will want to also be prepared for when you hire a staff by checking off the kind of people you would want to be on your team. The best way to do this is to use your life experiences.

We all wake up and know we are having a bad day just by the way we feel and what’s happening around us. Now imagine for a minute that your bad day is surrounded by seizures that cause you to spill drinks on yourself and fall down on concrete.

Changes are happening all the time and if you can’t move with them you will not be able to forge ahead.

Going to work can be stressful for the average person. Now add another layer that includes Epilepsy and that stress can lead to seizures.

In recalling the events of 9-11 and working with certain individuals daily, we take a look at what life looks like when you take a number of factors into consideration. Is life precious? Should you hire employees based on their reflection of yourself?
