Anger can make us someone we don’t even recognize. In our anger we can do thing that we can not take back. We should look to controlling our anger so that our posture can be pleasing to God.

Do not let peer pressure let you forget who you are and where you come from. When you stand in your true morals and ethics, allowing yourself to be authentic, you shake off the pressure and raise.

Sometimes a shred of hope can be all we have left. When we are faced with what seems impossible, we most always remember that light has to shine on what can be previewed as a very dark world.

We live in a fast paced world where rest and taking a break seem to have a negative connotation. Rest is essential because it equips us for the journey or season ahead.

All things, even grief, work out for our good. This is the promise of God. The blank canvas after a tribulations season should be used to see God for who he truly is and not as we perceive him to be. The posture of our heart should mirror Jobs’ while he was in his grief.

Healing comes with a mental and spiritual shift around us where the comfort God has given us can and should be used to comfort others. Jesus knew the outcome of Lazarus story and yet still wept. The release of grief enables us to move forward in the power God has given us.

Do not be afraid to shatter societal norms and break glass ceilings. Rahab and Lydia were women who did not let society or title define them. Your title or job does not define you, Jesus does. Rejoice without fear of the future, walking in the power he has given you.

Nehemiah was a man who marched forward to accomplish the mission on his heart despite his opposition. As you set up your year, continue to prevail and walk in the victory that is already yours.

Noah did not stop building The Ark to explain himself to every doubter. Keep building and let the rain do the talking.

“Selah is an invitation to “Pause” in God’s presence, when we are running low or even on empty. We should seek God for the renewal that we need in times of confusion and anger. When we pause God meets us right where we are. Accept the invitation to pause in his presence.

Jesus words: “if you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven: if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” Once you ask Jesus to forgive you, immediately your sins are thought of no more. Forgiveness and love are the light of the Lord and our past holds no weight in comparison.

God gives us specific gifts and those gifts are significant to who we are and our purpose on this earth. We should have a yearning to want for our lives what God wants for our lives.

Faith, peace and the vision of God to prosper us all comes together in an inspirational ten-minute talk. During this season let's work on shifting our focus while in difficult times to worship and praise.
