A Few Minutes in The Word

As we read the book of Isaiah we can understand that Isaiah is talking to all of Israel's Northern and Southern Kingdoms, although he was called as a prophet to the southern kingdom here he speaks to Israel as a whole. Isaiah is a good study to see how God raised up a non-Israelite king Cyrus to set his people free from the bondage of captivity.

Reading the life of Abraham and Sarah from Genesis chapters 17 & 18 lets us know that even when it seems out of reach God can still make it happen. There is nothing to hard for GOD.

Remember this passage as the writer writes the perfect peace is literally “Peace Peace” God will sustain you as we live out our lives trust God today and continue to move forward.

Read Psalm 119:129-136 as we read how the author praises God for what's going on in and for his life. God is very intentional, purposeful and deliberate about his children.

God has the power to keep you from stumbling those that put their faith in him.

As we look at today‘s subject read 1 Peter 4:12-5:11 to understand the suffering of a believer as we walk through this journey. You’ll see how out of pain God will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish us in our triumph out of pain.

The Book of Job shows us how to live out our faith walk with God regardless of what going on round or to us. It shows that nothing happens to the servants of God without Him knowing, Satan can't do anything without asking for permission from God. I encourage you to read the Book of Job in its entirety. You just might have been considered.

When people and circumstances are hitting you from every side and you're feeling down, out, or depressed you've got to get off to a place and encourage yourself

David in this 37th Psalm gives us a view from his perspective. David didn't see the righteous being forsaken. We can perhaps take this view and help the righteous when they do suffer a lack it's only temporary. We must still trust in the Lord and the things He’s doing in our lives.

Remission of sin biblically means the removal of our sins and the iniquity. To remember no more does not mean to forget, but not to hold sin against us any longer.

As Isaiah is speaking to the children of Israel as they are coming out of exile in this 43rd chapter he’s telling them to move past what happened to them then and look forward to the new thing God is about to do for, though, and to them

There is value in being corrected, take the correction as a blessing for God Himself, He’s giving us a chance to get it right and fix our mistakes. I suggest that you read the book of Proverbs and for this context subject read Proverbs 13

The believer in the midst of a trial needs to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and wrath. These three exhortations reveal the outline of this letter.

Faith and works are not enemies. True faith and righteous works go hand in hand. They are two parts of God’s work in us. Faith brings a person to salvation, and works bring that person to faithfulness. Faith is the cause, works are the effect.

These verses provide a direct contrast to the previous verse, a contrast between those who believe in Jesus Christ and those who do not.

Psalm 23 is a psalm of trust. Within the six verses, there is a development of the single theme of verse one. David has no fear or concern, for the Lord is his Shepherd. We also should have trust in the Lord as David did.

In the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, Paul wants the hearers/readers not be shaken by false speaking concerning the catching away/Rapture of the church. In verse 18 of 1Thessalonians Paul say be thankful in everything. Better understood would be to say “Thankfulness should characterize the Christian life in every circumstance, not thanks for everything but thanks in everything.

In this 107th Psalm we can read that writer wants us to have Thanksgiving to the Lord for His great work of deliverance. For a cross-reference also read Isaiah 43:1-2, This 107th Psalm starts the 5th book of the 5 books of the Psalms 107-150 is the 5th book/division of Psalm

As read Daniel, we see that he had been praying and waiting for the answer to his prayer request, it took three weeks before the answer came. It was delayed but not denied. We must wait until God gives us the answer to our prayer request

Read Acts 27:39 through Acts 28:10 to understand the background and circumstances of the portion of Paul’s journey
