I want to discuss how important learning is with 2 experts. Interestingly, they would not even exist if they did not learn and trained a lot. There is a lot of discussion about them, and now is my opportunity to not talk about them, but chat with them about how important learning really is. 

This is terrible and hard to deal with, as it demolishes our self-esteem and self-worth. But you cannot give up, if you need a job. But is sending even more application the answer?

Besides external factors and medical reasons there is stuff going on in our head that might not allow us to fall asleep. High pressure situations, unresolved issues, or excessive worrying can make it difficult for us to relax and fall asleep. Here are some common factors that can contribute to work-related stress.

We still see that girls are encouraged to be quiet, polite, caring, and conformist (which is often seen as more traditional feminine qualities), while boys may be encouraged to be assertive, competitive, and independent.  I want girls, women and ladies to see how their desire to be a “good girl”, conforming to gender expectations, influences and limits their job searches.

During “finding a job”, we need to deal with waiting for results - at two occasions: you have sent your résumé and you are waiting for a response if you are considered for an interview, or you had an interview and you want to know the outcome of it. But why does it take so long?

I had a change recently to speak to 16-year-old pupils about finding a job. One of the pupils kindly interrupted me. “But what should I write in my résumé if I have no job experience?”. The room suddenly went quiet. Luckily, we had enough time left to find the answer that I want to share with you as well.

When you want or need a new job, there are many hurdles to overcome. Depending on where you are in the process, thinking about yourself, applying, and interviewing, what do you think is the most critical piece in finding a job?

Would you hire that person into your team if you doubt that you can trust? I don't think so. No trust - no job, as hard as it is. And the quest for trust already starts with the résumé. Choosing the right words will plant the seeds of trust and your résumé readers are not doubting your trustworthiness.
