Frankly, this needed to happen...

It's the movie that inarguably changed the perception of comic book movies forever and many consider to be the best Batman movie of all time: 2008's "The Dark Knight" directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger with a performance that shut the haters up permanently.

ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED MAY 31, 2022 We close out this franchise and this show with the most lackluster, unceremonious ending we could offer: "The New Mutants."

Still considered to be Jer's favorite Batman movie, "Batman Begins" from 2005 was the beginning of Christian Bale under the cowl, Christopher Nolan behind the camera, and the "dark and gritty" reboot.

ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED MARCH 22, 2022 "X-Men: Apocalypse" is not the truly apocalyptic event that a lot of people make it out to be.  Because that would at least be exciting.  Instead it's a snooze, which is the cardinal sin for movies, particularly franchise films.

Jer's selection is a Michael Keaton movie for the month of May: "Multiplicity!" Harold Ramis directed this under-appreciated comedy from the mid 90's, which feels very much of its time but still holds up in multiple ways.
