As we look at this famous story of Jesus washing the disciples' feet, we try to gain a new appreciation for the significance of what's taking place.

As we celebrate the resurrection, where he emerged victorious over the power of death and darkness, we look at the Kingdom that was founded on that day - The Kingdom of God. This Kingdom operates in an entirely different way from the kingdoms of this world. While the kingdoms of this world operate on fear and produce entropy and chaos, the Kingdom of God operates on hope and produces New Creation.

As we continue on this journey towards purple faith, we stop to take a look at God's Kingdom. We are citizens of heaven, ambassadors of the Kingdom of Light, but are we being good representatives of God's Kingdom? Are we worshipping God or idols of our own making? 

In part 2 of our teaching on being judgemental, we wrap up the 4 types of judgment in scripture and add 5 practical steps we can take today to be less judgemental. 

In part 6 of our Purple Faith teaching series at 6:8, we are looking at the topic of judgment. No, we're not talking about God judging everyone on the planet, the great white throne, or any of those. We're talk about about how we, as Christians, have a tendency to be judgemental. We invite you to listen in to part one of Pastor David's teaching on Judgement.

We talk about the way politicians use misinformation against us, we talk about metanarratives and how they are employed on a consistent basis, and yes we even talk about social media. In part 4 of our Purple faith series, we get into the first agreement we need to make if we are going to have a faith that unites. Pastor David builds a solid biblical foundation for the image of God and helps to lay out some really practical advice for putting this principle into action in our day-to-day interactions with others. 

To be someone who has a faith that unites may require that we sometimes have longer conversations with people who think differently than we do. The problem with that is, at a time when we need to have longer conversations is also the time when we are spending the least amount of time in human history eating meals together. Maybe we need to think about that too.
