5 Point Church Sermon Audio

What does it really look like to love your neighbor? In this message from our Crown or Towel series, we look at Jesus’ teaching through the story of the Good Samaritan. The priest saw the need. The Levite saw the need. But the Samaritan allowed what he saw to move him to compassion and then to action. Following Jesus means more than noticing people who are hurting. It means taking off the crown, p...

Pastor Paul Dennis shares a challenging message on what it truly means to make disciples. Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28 isn’t simply an invitation to attend church, wear the shirt, or occasionally invite someone to a service. It’s a call to live every part of our lives on mission. Looking at the biblical concept of shmicha, the transferring of authority, leadership, and commissioning, Past...

What does it truly cost to follow Jesus? In this message from our Crown or Towel series, Pastor Dean challenges us to examine whether our lives look more like Judas, who held tightly to the crown, or Jesus, who picked up the towel and served others. Following Jesus means more than simply adding Him to our lives. It means surrendering control, carrying our cross, serving others, and choosing His wi...

Are you working for God’s love, or are you living from the love you have already received? In the first week of Crown or Towels, Pastor Dean uses the story of Jacob, Leah, and Rachel to explain the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant. The old covenant says, “I work, then I receive.” The new covenant says, “I receive, then I work from what I’ve received.” Jesus did not simply c...

Where is your hope tied? In this message, Pastor Mark Pangel reminds us that true hope and lasting joy cannot be found in success, relationships, possessions, or achievements. They are only found by abiding in Jesus. When shame tells us to hide, Jesus invites us to lay it down, cut the cord to the wrong things, and fix our full attention on Him. No matter what you have done or what you are walking...

History repeats itself when people ignore God, but history can change when people repent. In the final message of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean looks at the rise and fall of Israel and Judah and the warning their story gives us today. A nation can experience God’s blessing, claim to trust Him, and still drift into idolatry, compromise, pride, and false religion. Real change does not begin with...

What happens when a nation turns away from God? In week two of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean walks through Jeremiah 2 and shows how God warned Judah after they rejected Him, chased after idols, and still believed they were “good” because they had the temple. But this message does not stop with Judah. It challenges America, the church, and each of us personally. When we reject God’s authority,...

In week one of One Nation Under God, Pastor Dean looks at how history repeats itself and why it matters for both God’s people and our nation today. Through Judges 2, 2 Chronicles 7:14, and a walk through biblical and American history, we are reminded that when a generation forgets God, the results are devastating. This message is a call for God’s people to humble themselves, pray, repent, and seek...

In Week 3 of Built Different, Pastor Ethan Harris closes the series by looking at 2 Peter 1:5–8 and the progression Peter gives us for a faith that grows into real, Christlike love. Peter knew what it felt like to fail, deny Jesus, and feel unworthy. But Jesus met him right where he was, restored him, and called him into a life of purpose. That same invitation is for us today. When we supplement o...

In Week 2 of Built Different, Pastor Grayson Parker walks through 2 Peter 1 and challenges us to examine whether our faith is producing real fruit or just looking good from a distance. Using the life of Daniel, this message unpacks the importance of self-control, steadfastness, and godliness. Real faith is not about perfection or performance. It is about consistently choosing obedience, remaining...

In week one of our Built Different series, Jacob walks through 2 Peter 1:5-8 and challenges us to examine whether our faith is truly producing change in our lives. Faith is the foundation, but Scripture calls us to add virtue — living with excellence, purpose, and obedience. If we are going to be set apart as followers of Jesus, our faith cannot stay hidden, passive, or comfortable. It should move...

This message from Daniel 10 reminds us that there is a spiritual battle taking place that we cannot always see, but we are not alone in it. Through Daniel’s example of prayer, fasting, and faithfulness, we are encouraged to slow down, seek God, and trust that He is working even when we do not yet see the answer. When Daniel found himself in a season of mourning, confusion, and waiting, he did not...

In this message from Daniel 9, Pastor Dean walks through one of the most debated passages in Scripture: Daniel’s seventy weeks. As Daniel prays for repentance and restoration, Gabriel reveals a prophetic timeline that ultimately points us to Jesus, the new covenant, and the finished work of the cross. This teaching explores Daniel’s prayer, the exile in Babylon, the rebuilding of Jerusalem, the en...
