Textures 001 kicks of a new series for 2025. Picture taken in Cambridge one foggy Thursday evening. The pictures (a small series of shadow on raised concrete) inspired me to get back behind the decks and try a new exciting series of music accompaniments to my 'snaps' I'll be adding to this series often, (I find its best not confirm dates as I always break them). Expect to see a new image with a ne...

It's been a while since I added to this series. But here we are. Number 95 for your ears. A mic free deep jaunt from Ambient to electro stopping along the way into house and tech territory. As is the usual way with the One Foot sessions, I take you on a lovely meander through this deep spectrum of music. Recorded in one go, to keep it real, raw and a snapshot of a time. Enjoy, share, comment, ask...

Roll up, roll up I've made it to week five/show number five. Went super deep on this one, old jams but deep and lush. Enjoy if this is your bag. See you soon. 4c x

The fourth episode of my weekly outings on the awesome DEQ radio. Plenty of vibes in the mix. Sloppy blends and all. Rough, raw, and most definitely rugged.

Part three of my weekly trips on the always vibey DEQ radio. This one became a trip into hip hop, beats and all sorts of lovely left field deepness. Enjoy. Very live, very raw, very rugged.

Promo mix - Spectrum #1 4colours in the mix. Bringing you a collection of Detroit heat, some New York deepness and European vibes this 60min mix is sure to get you in the mood for the third instalment of Spectrum on the 20th of September at Novi Bar and Kitchen in Cambridge. 4colours and Nick Standen go back to back for six hours of the purest deep house. Some of the deepest cuts ever laid down on...

Hello all. You well? Making good? Taking care of yourself? I hope so. I'm popping into your universe because on the 20th of Sept in Cambridge at Novi Bar & Kitchen I'm putting on event number three of the night Spectrum. Centred around the deep Detroit/Chicago/New York sound of old. Expect deep grooves, shamanic loops and heavy bass. From fruity disco loops to the deepest of 808's. It's going to b...

Part two of the new show. Saturday Social Deep and dreamy on this one. Lots of lovely deep melodic jams. Enjoy.

New Saturday night residency on the fantastic Detroit Electronic radio. Diving into my record racks, in both physical and digital form. I'll be playing deep beats, electro, techno, house, and whatever floats my boat. Enjoy the first session.

Hello all, It's been a while since we last got together isn't it. Firstly, how are you? Keeping well? Making good? I'm really pleased to catch up with you again actually, I've been so busy of late. Certain things have taken priority over music, the show and our monthly excursions, but you and the show were never far my mind. I've been brewing the idea of this show for some time, certainly since th...

Hello hello, I am very pleased to let you guys check out this mix done for the awesome That's What House is About. Nick's show is a bi-weekly two hour trip into the wonderful world of house music and it's sub-genres broadcast on the mighty D3ep radio network. Check it out. I recorded this mix in one take on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Playing a nice cross section of tunes touching on the diffent hou...

Back for some cover duties, on the always awesome D3ep radio network. This time covering Lornie's Saturday afternoon session. Just under two hours in the mix. From disco and soul to afro and deep, I touched all genres in this mix. Strictly live, strictly vinyl. Enjoy this one take session.. Back soon with One foot 94 soon.

One foot #93 for your ears. Sorry this has taken me so long to get the track list up. Last months show went out on D3ep Radio Network a few weeks back. It was the last session to be aired on D3ep and I'd like to thank @grantnelsonmusic, and @jamestothalee for the opportunity to play on such a warm, welcoming, supportive station. I've had a blast but it's time for the next phase of the journey and...

Hi there, I promised myself I'd be more active with my mixes this year. More willing to share my collection. So I put together this mix of jazz, soul, jazz funk, Latin and other vibes to accompany me and possibly you on your walk. I do love a good walk, it gives me time to process, re-connect and generally be at peace. Normally I go out with a playlist, but I felt the need to put these in a mix. S...

Yes yes. Welcome along to show number four of 2024. I really enjoyed putting this one together. Did some digging in the racks and added some newer additions to the collection into the mix. Highlights in this show range from the fabulous new sounds of Johnny Drop and Andrew Ashong to the sublime deepness of Daranland. Dive into this one and enjoy. Share far and wide. One love. 4c x

Hello, here is a little live work out. A gap in the schedule appeared on the d3ep and I took the opportunity to jump on and spin some live vibes. Some mixes blend well, others (well I let you decide). I had fun regardless and it's always good to practice in front of a live audience. Enjoy. Music is good and lush. Enjoy.

More Sunday breakfast live steez on the always amazing D3ep radio network. I really enjoy doing these live impromptu sets. This ended up in some weird territory but good territory. A nice way to start my Sunday. One love all. Enjoy. If you want any track info, just shout me. 4c x

Many moons ago I used to do a Sunday breakfast session. We travelled from beats, funk, soul, breaks, broken, house, and techno. They were fun. I'm starting them up again. Here is the first one of this year. Enjoy three hours of deep, but most definitely groovy tunes. One for the head phones even if I do say so myself. The tree in my front garden is moving into blossom so spring is on the way, so p...

March has struck and so with that we've reached the third outing of the one foot sessions of 2024. Some lush vibes on this one even if I do say so myself. Some new slabs of wax from Eli Verveine, June Jazzin, and Discoteca, some lovely ambient from Space Afrika and Charles AD, solid house groovers from Jimpster and Turbo Jazz and a whole host of lushness from various artists make into the show. Di...

A special early session, where I dropped a two hour freestyle mix ranging from Turkish psych to house. Strictly radio show vibe. Not a performance set. Enjoy.

Into month two of 2024. This year is flying by. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and New year. Anyway on with the write up. I did some digging in the racks for this one. Pulled some classic broken beat from the likes of Jazzanova et al, some tasty beat work outs from LTJ Bukem and sprinkled some newer house and techno into the mix. Considering I was/am fighting a chest infection...

Yes. So pleased to bring you the first show of 2024. Absolutely chock full of amazing music. Dive in and enjoy. Share away and I'll see you next month with more journeys into my record collection.
