The first big release of 2023 (sorry, Forspoken) has arrived in Dead Space. The game is already a critical success, with a somewhat surprising Metacritic score of 89, and many are saying it is a shining example of how remakes should be tackled. Neither of the guys played the original game 15 years ago, so they are here to give their thoughts on the game without any nostalgia attached. They also ta...

Metal Gear Solid remake rumors have been flying around over the past few years with nothing to show, so far. However, Quinton Flynn, mostly known for his portrayal of Raiden in various MGS games, has sent Kevin's brain into a tizzy with a couple of tweets that seem to be related to Metal Gear. Are we about to get Metal Gear Rising 2, an MGS remake, or nothing at all? Hopefully, we will have those...

At CES, it was announced that Gran Turismo 7 is getting a free PSVR2 upgrade, prompting Kevin to take the leap and buy the game. Sony also reve...

For the first time in over a month, the boys are in the same room to record! They both talk through their cruise experiences over the past couple of weeks, before getting down to brass tacks. After so many rumors over the past year or so, Konami finally pulled back the curtain and revealed that Silent Hill is coming back! (Still no Silent Hills tho...) Three new games, a Silent Hill movie reboot, as well as the much anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 were all announced. The guys are excited, but Kevin (of course) is more excited for what this probably means for another Konami series t...

Google Stadia is officially dead. It took a lot longer than most thought, but the streaming only service is dead as of January next year. To pour dirt on the grave, it was also revealed that Kojima had a planned Death Stranding follow-up planned for Stadia, that was canned by Phil Harrison. We also found out that the Splinter Cell Remake is supposedly changing the story to adapt to modern times. O...

What could potentially be the biggest leak ever in gaming history, happened over the past week. Leaked footage of GTA 6 spread across the interwebs, and every social media platform you can imagine. This is horrible for Rockstar and Take 2, but outside of that, the guys agree it is pretty cool to see a game of this magnitude in the early stages of development (footage was apparently from 2019), and...

Since E3 is essentially dead, there are some random weeks in September where you end up having 3 different online presentations of upcoming games. Nintendo held a much rumored Direct, PlayStation held a State of Play (instead of a Showcase like everyone hoped), and Ubisoft held their Ubisoft Forward event. Out of all of that we got a release date, and a name, for Breath of the Wild's sequel, an aw...

One of the most controversial remakes/remasters/re-releases is finally out in the wild. The Last Of Us Part 1 is built from the ground up for PS5, but is it worth the full price of $70? The guys have both spent a few hours with it so far, and give their thoughts so far on this newest version of one of the best games ever made. Last week also saw the release of the TMNT Cowabunga Collection, includ...

Gamescom 2022 is in the books, with the biggest news coming from, of course, Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live stream. With a healthy mix of world premieres and new looks at already announced games, the show had something for everyone. With that being said, it did suffer from the same issues that Summer Game Fest had with commercials and bloat that dragged down the presentation as a whole. Never...

Blossom Tales 2 has been released, 5 years after the first Zelda-like, and it was one of the few remaining games of 2022 that the guys were looking forward to. Kevin has beaten it, and Sean is near the end, so they give their full thoughts on the game. On the news side of things, Embracer's acquisitions just keep on coming. This time they acquired the Tolkien-verse, along with Limited Run Games an...

More details emerged this past week on documents submitted by both Microsoft and Sony in Brazil in response to the potential acquisition of Activision. If you thought the Console Wars were dead, they are alive and well between these two companies. There was a lot of finger pointing, but aren't both companies accusing each other of the same thing? And aren't they both right? Take Two also revealed...

The dog days of summer roll on, and the news in the video game world continues to be slow to say the least. Nevertheless, your favorite brotherly podcast is here to cover what there is! Square Enix issued a DMCA notice to Patreon to force Sacred Symbols to take down their reading of a leaked script for the next Tomb Raider, essentially confirm it's authenticity in the process. THQ was also reveale...

Two reports from Bloomberg set the stage for this week's episode, as they leaked details around GTA 6, as well as the unfortunate report that the KOTOR Remake is in serious trouble. The guys cover the GTA 6 leaks first, as we found out the reported setting of the game, protagonist details, as well as the plans to expand the game and map in the future. All of this sounds great, but could the report...

It's been a while since we brought out the Multi-Tap for a podcast, so this week we are joined by two of our friends in James Soler and Derek Bamford! The Last Of Us Part 1 continues to be a hotly debated topic, and that increased even more this past week when leaks began to surface that seemingly contradicted what Naughty Dog had been saying about the remake. After this, PlayStation released a 10...

PlayStation had a busy week with closing the Bungie acquisition, as well as officially acquiring Haven Studios. The Haven acquisition is probably most interesting, as a recent interview detailed that the acquisition is about much more than the game they are working on, as there will be a heavy focus on cloud technology and R&D. PlayStation also announced their Stars loyalty program, which seem...

OF COURSE the release date for Ragnarok was announced right after the last episode was recorded... Now that we know when we will all finally get our hands on the much anticipated sequel, it's time for a hype check. Also, do the collector's editions give us a hint at a certain weapon we will be able to wield as Kratos? The ESA also announced that they will be partnering with ReedPop to revamp E3 in...

The guys are back a week earlier than expected, because Kevin had to push his cruise to the fall after a family member tested positive for Covid... Because of this (and because they recorded before God of War Ragnarok officially got a release date) they run through all the drama around Santa Monica Studio and the harassment toward devs at the company over the past week. They also go through a repo...
