2 Broke Geeks

Well, we're about a week into this pandemic thing and just finding ways to not lose our minds. At least Westworld is back! Yeah, baby! Also, our heroes watched both versions of the movie "The Crazies". Which one did they like more?

With the entire country shut down due to a global pandemic, our heroes give you a rundown of everything that's been cancelled or rescheduled. Plus, the 1990 "Teenage Mutant Ninha Turtles" movie turns 30 in a little less than two weeks! Other things covered include: Justin finished "Jedi: Fallen Order" and Matt's reading some old comics.

Oh yes oh yes oh yes, one of the geeks got older the day before this dropped! Justin's birthday is celebrated in this episode with song, a review of "The Invisible Man", wondering why there isn't more publicity for "Black Widow" yet, and a few other bits and bobs.

Matt's becoming an old man. Some jackass released spy pics of the new batsuit and Matt has thoughts. Justin took an "acting for mocap" class. So much cool stuff got revealed at New York Toy Fair. And Justin breaks Matt's brain with a comic fact.

What's that? Another dull week? Whose dumb idea was it to make nothing happen in the first two months of the year? Oh, Matt Reeves DID drop the first look at Robert Pattison as Batman. So there's that. Our heroes' Funko obsession continues. Justin is playing "Jedi: Fallen Order". There's a sneak peek at "Stranger Things 4" out. So it's not like there's nothing. It just all feels...less than eventf...

We dive right in by reviewing "Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn". Justin also saw "Gretel and Hansel" and "Come to Daddy". Matt had a financial windfall and went a little Funko Pop crazy. Justin bought a game he hasn't even played yet.

Frozen peas and Star Trek. Good deals on Pop figures. Pokemon (duh!). The usual toy talk. And, to cap it all off, the greatest idea for a movie in the history of movies!

Thank goodness January is almost over because NOTHING fun or interesting happens in January! Matt read a few years' worth of "Green Lantern" and watched some "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Futurama". Justin played some Pokemon. Funko announced a whole lot of fun new Pops at London Toy Fair. Stuff. Things.

It doesn't get more basic, 2 Broke Geeks-wise, than this episode. Nothing super special this week, but nothing terrible, just your generic white girl of an episode. We cover the possibility of Christian Bale in "Thor: Love and Thunder". "New Mutants" is still coming out? The final trailer for "Birds of Prey" is a thing. Justin bought a Pokemon thing. Matt spent too much on Funko Pops. Comic talk.

January is not a big time for news, or, apparently, Matt doing stuff besides watching "Star Trek". Justin, however, went to a cool collectibles shop and watched "Uncut Gems". Matt makes an accidental purchase mid show. Plenty of toy talk, per the usual, as well as some rumination on the state of comics.

It's the 2019 wrap up show! Best movies, best TV shows, etc. Oh, and Justin got pissed on by a drunk dude. Plus, we somehow, someway end up talking about Pokemon! AGAIN! Happy New Year!

It's been a pretty Star Wars-y week! First, our heroes talk "The Mandalorian", then they take a diversion away from Star Wars to talk "Watchmen", then it's right back to Star Wars to dive right into "Rise of Skywalker"!

It's a full episode as our heroes talk about this week in geek-related deaths, the most recent episodes of "The Mandalorian" and "Watchmen", the trailers for "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "Wonder Woman '84", and myriad other things.

It's been determined after this week's episode of "South Park" that Justin is Scott Malkinson, but not because of diabetes because Justin doesn't have that. Find out why he IS Scott, though! "Watchmen" and "The Mandalorian" continue to be great TV. The first "Black Widow" trailer dropped. Toys, geeky art, more.

Back after a week off, The Geeks dive headfirst into so many things: "Watchmen", "South Park", "The Mandalorian", and "Rick and Morty". Plus, our heroes lament that they haven't been able to check out the films they've been hearing good things about, Sprite doesn't understand slang, Matt's hands stink like glue.

Another busy week at The Geek Farm. Okay, so that phrase doesn't work too well, but you get the idea. Our heroes talk "Watchmen", "South Park", "Rick and Morty", "The Mandalorian" some of the gems on Disney+, and Pokemon manages to find its way into the conversation again! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?

This week we've got a really big show! "South Park" had a new episode. Our heroes talk about the third episode of "Watchmen". There's a spoiler discussion of "Doctor Sleep". A touch of video game news. Justin's comics as well as his new Criterion Showa-Era Godzilla collection. TOYS!

So much to talk about this week! The last trailer for "Rise of Skywalker" and the final trailer for "The Mandalorian". Matt got caught up on "Disenchantment". Both geeks share how they spent Halloween. Both geeks are digging the new "Watchmen" series and finished this season of "Creepshow". Matt went to Montreal Toycon. Justin made a big Godzilla-related purchase. Oh, and more!

Matt talks about his big adventure. Both the guys watched the newest episode of "Creepshow". Nicholas Cage sure is off the rails. Justin might become an online shopper. Bet you wish this was a Halloween special.

Despite having busy schedules lately, and despite October typically being slow news month, Matt and Justin both managed to get some fun things in AND there was some news! PS5 is coming next year, Kevin Feige is CCO of all of Marvel, "The Batman" has a Catwoman and a Riddler. Horror movies! Horror shows! Matt's dog barking in the background! Everything you know and love.

Another week where nothing's really gone on. Justin's just about up to date on his 31 Days of Horror while Matt is not. Matt didn't do a whole lot but did watch a couple interesting things. Justin finally saw all three seasons of "Big Mouth"! "South Park" aired their 300th episode.

Our heroes are apart again, but soldier on none-the-less! First off, the boys talk about the most recent episode of South Park. Also, "Big Mouth" is back! Matt watched three movies he's famously never seen and revisited four others as part of his Scare-A-Thon. Justin's also in the Halloween mood, plus read some comics. Then, to cap it off, there's a good discussion about "Joker".

Matt is in the land of the stars! So, of course, Justin takes him around for hijinks! Universal Studios! Disneyland! Neal Freakin' Adams! And, of course, more!

It's another one of those weeks where everything's kinda slow. But that doesn't stop The Geeks! Matt's been in a "Star Trek" frame of mind. Justin binged all three "John Wick" films. A brief discussion of the terrible TMNT live stage show "Coming Out of Their Shells". Other silly things.

Justin saw "Midsommar" and talks a bit about that. Matt FINALLY watched all of "Young Justice" and also has been doing a "Star Trek" deep dive. There's some discussion of cons, Halloween haunts and (of course) toys. Then it's on to talking about "It: Chapter 2"
