2 Broke Geeks

The Geeks watched the new animated Godzilla film, "Godzilla: Planet of Monsters", talk a little bit of toy stuff, and get on to comics before Matt's internet implodes and doesn't come back. We suspect Godzilla did it! But at least we got SOMETHING done!

Justin has all the notes about news and rumors because Matt's been working so much overtime he can't keep anything straight. Discussed in this episode: the upcoming Godzilla animated movie on Netflix, a rumored new Batman video game, upcoming 2018 video games, release dates getting shuffled and more.

In many ways, 2017 was a dumpster fire, but a lot of good geek stuff happened and we wanna talk about it! Also, some great geek stuff is coming in 2018 and we wanna talk about that, too! Oh, and Matt apparently needs a new mic so please forgive the weird static-y sounds.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is finally here and that's the bulk of what this episode is about. There's some more stuff talked about toward the end, but Matt can't remember what it is and he's the one writing this description.

The geeky stuff is taken care of early: animated Spider-Man trailer, Jessica Jones S2 trailer, Black Mirror S4 look-ahead, Justin's viewing of "Happy" and some South Park talk. Then it's on to the single most insane thing either of the Geeks has ever witnessed as Justin tells Matt all about the craziest play ever.

The Geeks couldn't get their schedules to match up to record a full episode, so they each briefly talk about the first teaser trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War"

Justin finished "The Punisher" which means the boys can finally talk about it in all its splendor and spend a good deal of time doing so. After that it's on to talk of Justin's upcoming adventure to a Writer's Guild event to honor Len Wein, comics and what the best and worst Christmas songs are.

After a long and tumultuous production, "Justice League" finally hit theaters. Hear what The Geeks have to say about it! Also, "The Punisher" dropped on Netflix and Matt couldn't stop watching it. On top of that, there's some talk about "The Flash," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "South Park" and more!

Justice went to Designer Con. Matt watched some movies. The guys both watched "South Park" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." Random news. Justin read some comics. More.

The Geeks talk "Stranger Things 2", "Thor: Ragnarock" and "The Fractured But Whole"! It was a great week for geek stuff.

Matt and Justin both got in a few horror movies, "Thor: Ragnarock" is coming out this week, "Justice League" and "The Punisher" set to be released on the same day and MORE! Spoooooky!

It's been a slow week, but The Geeks did watch the season premiers of "The Flash" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." The first trailer for "New Mutants" is surprising and potentially promising. Justin watched the trailer for "The Last Jedi" but Matt didn't. Neither of our heroes has watched nearly enough horror this October.

In this bonus episode, Matt is joined by his friend Paul Sating, creator of the podcasts "Atheist Apocalypse," "Subject: Found," "Diary of a Madman," and "Who Killed Julie?" to talk about creativity, writing, podcasting and the like.

Do you seriously need a summary? Aren't you going to listen to the episode anyway? Most of the crux of the episode is right in the title for crying out loud! Don't you want a surprise? Don't you wanna listen and learn and hear us talk and make fart jokes and and laugh? Don't YA? DON'T YA? JEEZ!

Justin and Matt realize they aren't hot enough to get free stuff. Matt loves "Boy Meets World," Justin finally saw the "Conjuring" movies. Other random goodness.

The Geeks are excited about cartoons this week! First they talk about this week's "Rick and Morty" before moving on to the first episode of the twenty-first season of "South Park"! Then they talk a bit about comics and old cartoons before listing the fictional universes they'd most like to live in.

"It" came out and, man, are The Geeks ready to talk all about it! Also, Justin read a couple comics, Matt is slowly but surely watching "Game of Thrones" (finally!), South Park is coming back soon, "The Fractured But Whole" is just around the corner and so much more!

Matt asks Justin about what kinds of super powers he'd like to have. Justin read some comics and discovered a cool card game. Matt dubs "Poop: The Game" the official game of the show. Other things.

Matt went to Vermont Comic Con and talks a bit about that. Both the Geeks read some comics! Toy talk, "Rick and Morty" talk, "South Park" talk, "Duck Tales" talk, all the usual talk. Plus, can YOU figure out the secret message the title refers to? IS there a secret message? We're not telling!

Matt and Justin get some of the more uninteresting stuff out of the way before moving on to give a full spoiler-ific review of the latest offering from Netflix and Marvel Studios: "The Defenders."

Due to conflicting work schedules, The Geeks are unable to record a regular episode but Justin, not wanting to leave our excellent listeners hanging, opens up more about his journey from living in a tiny Vermont town to living in L.A. in hopes of achieving his dream of becoming an actor. As part of this episode, he answers listener questions, too!

It was a pretty geeky two weeks! Justin went to two horror conventions, Midsummer Scream and Scare LA, and he had quite the adventures! Also, Matt has done a few random geeky things including starting to read "Marvel 1602" and going to see "The Dark Tower." All that and more as this episode plays out!

It was San Diego Comic Con and the Geeks have plenty to say about all the goodies Geeky Claus brought for Nerd Christmas. Discussed in this episode: Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Stranger Things, Defenders, Westworld, Captain Marvel, Shazam, Flashpoint, The Batman, Justice League, Thor: Ragnarock, Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and so much more!

Disney's D23 Expo happened and out of that came plenty of news about Disney's upcoming slate of films, Kingdom Hearts 3 and more! Plus: Justin read some comics, Matt saw "Split" and other chatter!

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" came out and of course the boys went to see it because Spider-Man is Justin's favorite superhero and Matt's second favorite! So did they love it? Hate it? Think it was just good? Find out! Also, Matt finds a strange picture of erotic art featuring Miss Piggy and Kermit then pitches a funny business idea to Justin.
