This very popular radio show ran from 1951 to 1955, and starred William Gargon as the laconic Barrie Craig. Gargon had worked as a private eye in his younger days and deliverted some great acting in this series. 

Gangbusters aired on CBS radio and was popular on radio for 21 years. The show featured true stories from the FBI files and was supported by J. Edgar Hoover, although Hoover often disagreed with producer Lord's attempt to dramatize the show.
