06-12-23 Following Jesus Up the Mountain (NS) 05.12.2023 10:32
Today we are being encouraged to follow Jesus, to meet Him atop the mountain spiritually. So, let us follow Jesus up the mountain because God first came down to us, so that we may be raised up to meet Him
05-12-23 Keep it simple! (FD) 04.12.2023 9:07
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” Lord, your words are a call to true simplicity: an inward unity of life.
04-12-23 Not worthy (RS) 03.12.2023 10:00
When we recognise how unworthy we are for the Lord to come to us, we might be tempted to refuse him. In today's Gospel we see the centurion's faith not only in his humility as he looks at himself but also in his confidence as he looks at Christ.

02-12-23 New Year's Eve (MRS) 01.12.2023 9:57
Unlike NYE at the end of December, this one at the end of the liturgical year, and at the end of the month of November, gives us an opportunity to prepare for our own death - a moment we should face with great trust and faith.
01-12-23 Christian optimism (GB) 30.11.2023 11:19
Towards the end of the liturgical year, we are reminded of the difficulties that will come for the disciples of Christ. And Jesus asks us to persevere, to keep up the good work. Christian optimism is not passive, Chesterton explains, but active. We don't just expect things will turn out well. We help God to bring His Kingdom and make it happen.

The resurrection is the major game changer of our lives, our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus is what gives us life, we have to witness to this
24-11-23 Be like Jesus_ be angry, but do not sin (JWB) 23.11.2023 9:37
Lk 19:45–48 // Jn 2:14–17. Jesus throws tables and uses a whip to drive off cattle, sheep, and pigeons that don't belong to him. He got angry. But he was God. So his anger could not have been a sin. When we get angry, how can we follow Jesus' example who got angry but without sinning?
23-11-23 Attitude of Gratitude (JPM) 22.11.2023 11:00
Thanksgiving Day in the USA - Using the Thanksgiving Proclamation from President George Washington, let us learn to give thanks for specific gifts from God and do so knowing that we represent many others (our family, our friends, the Church, our country, the whole world).
22-11-23 Oh Divine Beauty! (EN) 21.11.2023 10:42
An account of the feast of St. Cecilia and how here body was discovered in 1599, with Stephano Maderno making that famous sculpture of her. She is patron of artists, and intercedes to preserve beauty in the world. I inserted a brief background music of the Nisi Dominus aria by Vivaldi. Exquisite to listen and to pray with.

20-11-23 That We May See (NS) 19.11.2023 10:00
Jesus is asking us today the same question He asked the blind man in today's Gospel: “What do you want Me to do for you?” We like the blind man in the Gospel should ask our Lord to see, to be able to see Him, to see the bigger picture, to see what really matters apart from that which doesn't matter as much, to see what matters in the end, to see that Heaven will be worth it all, and to see that ou...
19-11-23 Just do it! (FD) 18.11.2023 8:15
Mt 25: 14-30 “A man going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one — to each according to his ability.”

17-11-23 Question the Beauty! (DO) 16.11.2023 10:14
We can meet Jesus and savour his presence in creation
16-11-23 There all along (MRS) 15.11.2023 11:28
Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of God as being 'among you' in today's Gospel. In our prayer today we reflect on the fact that all the grace we need to follow Jesus, is already within us, because he lives within us. Praise God!
15-11-23 Turn back and say thanks (KD) 14.11.2023 10:55
Lk 17:11-19 Finding himself cured, one of them turned back, praising God at a top of his voice; and he threw himself at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. Learning how to thank Jesus for everything frees us from the prison of anger, complaints and resentment and restores our peace and happiness.
14-11-23 Servants not princes (JE) 13.11.2023 10:41
God does reward us in so many ways, above all by making us his children, but today’s gospel reminds us of our duty to serve, without expecting reward. We should lose all sense of entitlement and seek to be servants of God and others, not privileged princes or princesses.
12-11-23 Jesus Has Something in Mind For Me (JFK) 12.11.2023 10:41
Seemingly every parable deals with the challenge of time: we only have so much of it, and Jesus wants us to use it wisely. How are we carrying this precious gift of time: like the wise virgins who go prepared to the wedding feast?
13-11-23 You discern my thoughts from afar (JG) 12.11.2023 10:02
Jesus clearly distinguishes between temptation and sin. In a way, temptations shouldn't bother us since they are allowed by God for our spiritual growth. Psalm 139 helps us to realize that God knows everything that happens to us, inside and out. This realization is a great source of confidence and peace.
