If you have no dreams or vision in life, you need to listen to this. God has designed you for grand adventure to expand His kingdom.

Let's take a look at God’s calling to Jeremiah and how we can find God’s calling for our own lives through his.  Sometimes, the grit that is needed out of you, isn't even for you, it’s for someone coming after you. Just like Daniel watched Jeremiah, the strength you grow now might be shaping someone else’s faith down the road. We also break down the three areas where God calls us: relation...

You know what I think? I think we are bored. I think we’re numb. I think much of modern Christianity has lost touch with the power of our God. We want to explain him, not know him. We want his blessing, but not his call to obedience. We want unending success, without knowing the hard reality of the suffering He calls us to. Enter Jeremiah. The book of Jeremiah gives a glimpse into God's heart...

Pastor Tyler shares about the state of the world when it comes to missions. Who has heard the Good News? Who is unlikely to ever hear the name of Jesus? How can you get involved or be sent to help?

Why does the Catholic bible have more books than the protestant bible? What is the Apocrypha and how should we relate to it as evangelical believers?

Where do Christians differ from Catholics on Doctrine? In this episode, we're covering the Pope, The Magisterium, Grace through Sacraments, and Purgatory.

We have now finished Romans. Heck yeah. But I wanted to trace back the most important ideas from the text so you have a full understanding of the book. Remember, this letter was designed to be read aloud to the church so they could receive all of the ideas in context. We hope you enjoy!

Hear the next episode in our Romans series.

In our politically charged environment this episode hits with unusual intensity. The bible demands that we submit to all governmental authorities and it makes no distinction on whether the government is corrupt or not. How can you serve the Lord and honor the government at the same time? Tune in to find out!

Last week endeavored to discover God's will for our lives and discovered that two things are necessary for that to happen. One, we must be a part of and serving a local church. God made us for each other and gifted us for that purpose. The second thing that we need to discover God's will is a commitment to love other people. So Paul goes on a love-rant and lists multiple different ways he...

Romans Study Episode 11 - There has been debate in the church for two thousand years to figure out who the real chosen people of God are. Is it the Jews or Christians? Did the church fulfill the covenant promises of God in the Old Testament or not? While those are good questions, there is one more question that helps make sense of this whole debacle.  What lens are you asking the question through?...

A Study in Romans (Deep End) Episode Ten - God sovereignty is arguably one of the hardest things about him for us to accept. Why is this the case? Because I am limited by time and limited by my mind. Meaning I die and I don't know everything. God doesn't struggle with either of those. He is eternal and knows everything. Because of that it allows him to judge the life of a human being before that h...

Over the 2000 year history of the church we have seen some wild ideas come from the church. One of those ideas is called "Replacement Theology." It's the idea that the church has replaced Israel as the covenant people of God. Is this idea true? Does scripture support it? Does it actually matter for your life today? Today we jump back into Romans to figure out, what does God think about Israel and...

Have you ever wondered why reading scripture, going to church, and being in relationships is so hard? Could it be because those things expose a part of us that we don't want to see? In Romans 7 Paul exposes a war that occurs in all of us every day and it explains so much. It explains why it's hard to go to church sometimes. It explains why we don't read our bibles. It explains those moments when w...

We’re continuing in Romans 5 as Pastor Tyler unpacks the themes of redemption and real peace with God. Christianity offers something radically different—real peace doesn’t come from effort or achievement, but from a restored relationship with God through Jesus. The work is already finished, completed by Jesus on the cross. Redemption comes through surrender, not striving. So here’s the question: A...

A Study in Romans Episode Three: What actually saves me? In an effort to describe the complex nature of salvation the following metaphor has been used. Salvation is like a cure to a disease and our sin is the disease that needs curing. At the risk of oversimplifying things, the first two chapters have been describing the disease of humanity. Our wickedness and immoral behavior is something that Go...

The Deep End - A Study in Romans Episode Two: Judgement, Repentance, and Conscience How do you genuinely change someone's mind? Maybe we could argue someone into submission. What if we yelled at them? What if we gave them the silent treatment until they realized they were wrong? There's a number of different ways that we try to change someone's mind or behavior. But do those theories actually work...

Wrath and the Wicked The bible makes a distinction between easy to consume ideas and difficult or complex ideas. It calls them spiritual milk and spiritual solid food. Some passages of scripture contain milk and then there's Romans. It is a prime cut of steak surrounded by all your favorite fixings. It is Paul's doctoral work on salvation and christian living and it is not easy stuff. We are going...
