James 4:1-3 (1) What cuses fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? (2) You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. (3) When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures....
The Good Life James 3:13-18 23.08.2023 46:48
(13) Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. (14) But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. (15) Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. (16) For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you f...
Words - James 3: 1-2 18.08.2023 36:02
James 3: 1-2 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. (2) We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. NLT (2) If we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. Why do you thin...
Can we control the tongue? - James 3:2-12 18.08.2023 37:41
James 3:2-12 (2) We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. (3) When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. (4) Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants...

Proof of Faith James 2: 18-26 (18) But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” (19) Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that —and shudder. (20) You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? (21) Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what h...

Today we are talking about Whether you’ve ever thought about it or not there’s Proof of our Faith. There is a way to know for sure you are a believer in Jesus and have faith in Him? James 2:14-17 (14) What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? (15) Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. (16) If one...
10. Freedom in Jesus James 2: 12-13 16.07.2023 41:35
James 2:12-13 12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Today we will dig deep into the Law that gives freedom. We are building upon the differentiations of LAW that James is helping us understand now that we are followers of Jesus. James 1:21...
7. Distinguishing Evidence - James 1: 26-27 16.07.2023 45:27
J ames 1: 26-27 26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world .
8. Favoritism and Prejudice - James 2: 1-4 16.07.2023 44:43
James 2: 1-4 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor...

James 2: 5-11 Love your neighbor as yourself (5) Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? (6) But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? (7) Are they not the ones who are...

6. Religion vs. Relationship - James 1:26-27 13.06.2023 40:55
This section of the bible we learned to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. Then we learned that listening isn’t enough, we must do the bible. Today we learn that doing isn’t enough if our hearts aren’t pure. Our words (what we say), our hands (what we do), and our hearts (what we believe) must be aligned and work together as a demonstration of our faith. First we must k...
