Welcome back to a new school year. To kick of return to the classroom, I thought I’d introduce one of my own hello songs that I use at the start of my classes. It’s called “A Swingin’ Hello.”

The gentle lilt of this song feels to me like a perfectly relaxed pedaling pace.

Today I share another chant. This one is called “Dr. Seuss’s Sheep” and is based on an excerpt from the book One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fist, Blue Fish . It’s set to an uneven rhythm, which might feel unintuitive, but actually fits quite well with the text.

Today’s song is “Cracks In the Sidewalk." I composed this song on one of many walks to school with my three children. We often sang as we walked and it always made the journey more fun!
