Notes by NW celebrates the music and the musicians with roots in the Pacific NW. Artists range from the Wailers and Ventures from the 1960s, to Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, each of whom lived in Seattle and met with they were 16 and 14; to icons like Kenny Loggins and Heart; Jimi Hendrix, of course; the grunge bands and their offspring; and contemporary artists like Brandi Carlile and The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.

Due to some travel issues, Jesse Roper, the Canadian artist, was unable to join me live, but I played his music nonetheless, even the songs with the bad words in them. I'm looking forward to introducing him at the Field Hall meet and greet to benefit KSQM, and to watch his show this Saturday.
