My Morning Thought

Jesus hung on a cross with a thief hanging on His right and one on His left. One thief didn't believe Jesus was who He said He was. He yelled for Him to get down and save himself and "us." The other saw the same thing with His natural eyes, but with his heart, he saw the king and asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom. Who do you see?

It's hard to believe that someone would be willing to die in your place. To pay your debt with their life. We see life through our hurt, pain, and the world's injustice. But Jesus did! He died so you might believe.

He could have come in majesty and great beauty, but He didn't.

You can trust God with all your troubles and challenges. Everything He has promised will come to pass.

Ever had an "aha moment?" You know when you saw or heard something you didn't understand until something else happened and it all made sense?

What if you meditated on God's word? Prayed it? Viewed the world through it? Lived your life according to it? Learned the nature of God? Lived the life He has for you? What if you did that day and night?

If you dwell in the shelter of the Most High you will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Sometimes it's hard to trust, but if you dwell you will abide.

Our desires are good, but God's will is better, and where the two intersect; our spiritual worship, that is the best.

Live not for self!

Jesus gave a list of seven "woes" to the scribes and Pharisees. He started out by telling the crowds and the disciples to do what they say and not what they do. Lord, please align my life. I want what I believe to be what I say and what I say to be what I do.

Never forget how special you are. God chose you. Will you choose Him?

Know your value and your worth to God. Look around at how He cares for even the grass. He's got you!

Be mindful, that the continued laxing of the norm can quickly create new norms.

As a Christ-follower, you have what you need to overcome your challenges. And they are not for naught. If you are not a Christ-follower, by faith you can access what you need.

You shall have no other gods before the LORD. If something or someone is taking you away from God, you need to reevaluate.

Will you present your bodies as living sacrifices? Willing to die to self to live for Christ?

Knowing God changes everything!

I can be blind to who I really am because I see who I want to see. But God knows me and I want Him to reveal to me myself so that whatever may stand in the way of me trusting Him more, can be removed.

#MyMorningThought #GodWantsMore No matter where you are, God wants more for you. He loves you so much and meets you right where you are, but will not leave you there. He sees you at your best and that is more than you can ever see for yourself.

Can you even comprehend that God, who created the heavens and the earth, wants to live with you?

God has something to say about your life. Not that he’s trying to be controlling, but rather His love is steadfast and He wants good for you. Listen carefully. It’s for your good.

Today is February 29, 2024, leap day. This extra day is because of the time it takes for the Earth to rotate around the sun. The sun is the center of our solar system. It keeps everything in its orbit. Jesus is the center of it all. It even keeps the sun in its orbit. Let Him be the center of your life.

It’s easy to miss what you are not looking for. So, keep a lookout, but not just for an incidental sighting. Seek with intentionality for a life-changing encounter.

We often think that it’s not a big deal. What? Sin! Getting angry is not a big deal. Lying is not a big deal. Sexual immorality is not a big thing. Pride or self-reliance is not a big thing. And many more, many more we see as not a big thing.  But to God, sin is a matter of life and death. Don’t forget to check out my latest podcast.
