Thinking about moving forward in our journey with Jesus, Jesus’s command comes with a very comforting promise: we will not do these things alone (28:20). Jesus promises to be with his followers always. There is never a time or place that Jesus is not present with those who hope in him.

Because of the dangers associated with the heat and rugged environment, the National Park Service recommends that hikers check in with people when hiking in the Grand Canyon. The dangers and trials of the canyon do not dissuade people from going, any more than trials and tribulations should discourage followers of Jesus who are journeying with Him through life.
