Random and relevant conversations that may or may not be discussed in church, but it just so happens to be my last name! Traumatic experiences: paralyzing or propelling? 11.07.2020

Trauma is a real thing. Some people don’t even realize it was a traumatic experience they went through that caused fear to cripple them. How we view them and getting to the root of them will ultimately determine whether we allow them to paralyze us or propel us into our purpose.

After the Cross [spoken word] 03.07.2020

Is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus something we celebrate and commemorate as a springtime holiday or did it actually and factually pave a way for a new life that every one of us can live out every day?

Is that Jesus on the street? 04.06.2020

While walking down my street, I thought about the streets that people have been crowding the last several days and I can’t help but wonder where Jesus would be if he were here right now. I personally believe he’d be right alongside broken humanity, giving no regards to social distancing, but rather unmasking the façades, healing the hurt, and loving the lost.

Confessions at 3am 31.05.2020

I recorded my first episode at 3am after drinking espresso at 8pm (trust me, this is not typical), which ironically has to do with resting and how I struggle oftentimes with what it even means to “rest.” I’m learning how to not just do it occasionally, but to actually BE at rest long-term.
