Bears On Tap: A Chicago Bears Podcast

Things are getting bad at Halas Hall. Matt Nagy is fully under fire and every press conference is worse than the next. One thing Matt Nagy could hang his hat on last year was keeping the locker room intact. As of now, the Bears wide receivers are liking tweets telling them to go to other teams. Allen Robinson can't wait to leave. Our pets heads are falling off! It seems like everything is going do...

It's Packers week so there's no shortage of juice in the Chicagoland area. It doesn't matter if the Bears are 0-15, you can't call yourself a Bears fan if the thought of beating the Packers doesn't get you going. Things are lining up perfectly for Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky was benched in an abrupt fashion and the offense has steadily gotten worse without him as their starter. The man who benched...

On today's episode of Bears On Tap, Lucas, Duke and Brandon go over ongoing issues with the team, as well as covering some things around the league. Dalvin Cook has gashed opposing defenses all season, but can he do the same against a Bears defense who held Derrick Henry in check? Will the Bears draft a quarterback in the first round? Will Allen Robinson be on the roster next season? This and much...

The Bears game is legitimately the same every week and the opposing teams just change jerseys. The Bears defense holds the Titans offense to season-low totals, and still, the offense can't muster a score until it's too late. At some point, we just have to blame the heart of the issue, Matt Nagy. The Bears On Tap crew breaks down a pitiful performance but also has optimism with a light schedule com...

The Guys are back with the freshest episode of Bears On Tap. This is our weekly injury report episode and there is a long list on both sides. If you didn’t hear by now, most of the Bears starting offensive line will not be active in Nashville. Realistically, the Bears starting offensive line hasn’t been all that impressive but the Titans defensive front hasn’t played very well either. Last week th...

Matt Nagy's press conference after the Saints game was brutal. We play it for you and discuss how a top tier coach would've handled it differently. Matt Nagy just seems defeated at this point, and the Bears need to snap out of this rut. They have an opportunity to have a statement game against a solid, but beatable, Titans team. The Bears defense will have their work cut out for them against Derek...

Well, the Bears ultimately lost to the Saints today, but they did play well enough to win. They came out of the gate hot and took an early lead but a series of 4 drives between the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half that helped the Saints take the momentum. In the past, we’ve seen a team like New Orleans run away with a game like that but the Bears buckled down and had a sh...

In this episode of Bears On Tap, the guys tell you the updated injury report for the Bears/Saints game this Sunday. The Saints are missing wide receivers 1-3 and their biggest threat will be Alvin Kamara. The Bears should use an extra DB to cover Kamara. Also, the Bears aren't the healthiest they've ever been. They're missing Cody Whitehair and possibly Allen Robinson, it will be interesting to se...

On this episode of Bears On Tap, Brandon Suarez and Duke Coughlin break down the upcoming game against the Saints. They also cover the issues on offense, including the Cole Kmet dilemma and lack of a push up front.  Can Matt Nagy and Nick Foles turn things around against a questionable Saints secondary? Can the Bears produce some yards on the ground? The boys discuss that and more in another...

Nick Foles postgame interview after the Bears beat the Panthers got every Bears fan fired up. Even though the box score hasn't aligned for the Chicago Bears offense, things seem to feel like they're going in the right direction. Every time the Bears needed a play Nick Foles made one and respectfully told the Chicago Bears media not to worry because the Bears are winning games. We talk about the Fo...

The Bears went into Carolina, handled business, and came out 5-1. It seemed like the Bears offense played with more rhythm but the stat sheet still looks pitiful. They made big plays in big moments and found ways to get points any time the Panthers closed the deficit. The Bears were in complete control throughout the entire game and that's cause the defense absolutely balled. Even with the bogus p...

We see a lot of tweets floating around saying that this Bears/Panthers game will be a "Mike Davis revenge game." Fans are outraged that Ryan Pace would let him go. While it does hurt to see a former player doing well, it also indicates a change in the tide. Remember the days when the Bears would cut players and they would just retire? Now the Bears are acquiring more talented players at a higher r...

The Bears are headed to Carolina to face off against the 3-2 Panthers. After losing Christian McCaffery in week 2, Teddy Glove Hands and the Panthers have rattled off 3 straight wins. With McCaffery's status up in the air, Mike Davis will look to have a revenge game against the team that cut him midseason last year. In what seems like a rebuilding year for the Panthers, Matt Ruhel has kept this te...

Should Bears fans remain optimistic about Matt Nagy? Most of the evidence says no. Nagy has struggled to find an offensive identity since 2018 and Mitchell Trubisky shouldered a lot of that blame. Last show we talked about the heat getting turned up on Matt Nagy and it has been. There are no more scapegoats and the offense still looked lackluster in Nick Foles fist start. The optimistic Bears fan...

It was not the greatest debut for the Foles led Chicago Bears offense. The Bears offense put up 3 points and pooped the bed all game long, getting a late garbage-time touchdown. Last show we said that the offense needs to look more efficient with Nick Foles at quarterback and it didn’t. Mitchell Trubisky can’t be the scapegoat if he’s not on the field so now does the blame get pushed onto Foles? F...

The Bears have now entered the strength of their schedule and we will find out what kind of team they are over the next six games. This week is the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are a meat and potatoes kind of team. They aren’t flashy but they get the job done. In this episode of Bears On Tap, the guys break down the injury report for the Bears/Colts game. The Colts are down a few players but they...

Well, the Bears are officially 3-0. Mitch Trubisky was benched in the third quarter, and Nick Foles took over and brought the Bears a win. The game wasn't pretty by any means. The Bears left points on the board and gave up too many points on drives manufactured by penalties. Now that Nick Foles is starting, we would like to see how the offense operates moving forward. How much of the blame will Ma...

The boys cover the injuries heading into the game, make bold predictions, and discuss the strengths/weaknesses of each team. In this episode of Bears on Tap Lucas Perfetti, Duke Coughlin, and Brandon Suarez give their initial thoughts on this week's matchup against the Falcons. The Falcons are the most unpredictable team in the league. They'll drop three games straight to sub .500 teams and then beat a super bowl contender. The Falcons have a ton of firepower on offense our secondary will be tested early and often. Ther...

The Bears clearly don't care about your blood pressure. Mitchell Trubisky looked like a machine in the first half and cooled off a little in the second. Overall, he had a decent game and did enough to win, but in this episode, we dive into why things got far too close down the stretch. This is the second game in a row the Bears defense finished the game in their red zone, with a team driving and t...

In this episode of Bears On Tap Lucas Perfetti, Duke Coughlin, and Brandon Suarez unpack the backside of the Allen Robinson drama. If Allen Robinson is only asking for $18 million, why isn't he signed yet? Robert Quinn was a full participant in practice and he should make his Chicago Bears debut, and we should see both teams near full strength on Sunday. Even though the Bears should win this game,...

Obviously the internet broke when Allen Robinson deleted his Bears pictures off Instagram. A lot of news has come out since then but we have an open discussion about it from every perspective. How would the Bears offense look without A Rob? Did his agent handle it in a professional manner? What type of president does it set to have one of your veteran leaders take his frustration public? We also d...

On this episode of Bears On Tap, Duke Coughlin and Brandon Suarez break down Chicago's Week One victory in Detroit. This and more in an exciting episode that also features a special message from Lucas Perfetti!

We've added an extra show this week, and we're kicking it off by giving you all of the injury updates for the season opener against the Lions. What is the likely hood Robert Quinn see's the field?
