Zionsville United Methodist Church
Weekly sermons from Zionsville United Methodist Church in Zionsville, IN. We are a community of people who gather in Christ’s name for worship, service, and study. And that’s a good thing—the church is a place for all kinds of people, on all kinds of journeys. We aren’t all alik...

That's Easy: It's Grace Listen to the July 21, 2024 worship service from Zionsville United Methodist Church in Zionsville, IN. I John 4:7-12, 16b-18 Grace means that God’s presence, God’s love, and God’s forgiveness cannot be earned. They cannot be deserved. They can only be received. No wonder the apostle Paul begins and ends all 13 of his New Testament letters with a reference to grace. If we in...

A Place at the Table Dave Williamson 2 Samuel 9:1-13 On this July 4th weekend, we dive into the story of David and Mephibosheth to talk about what it means to truly honor someone. David remembers his friendship with Jonathan and decides to honor Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth, by giving him a special place at his table, even though Mephibosheth doesn't have much to offer in return. It's a powerful r...

Breaking Down Barriers, Part 2 - Get Curious 23.06.2024 28:25
Breaking Down Barriers, Part 2 - Get Curious Dave Williamson Acts 8:26-40 This is what I call the push/pull of the Gospel. The dual directions in which it moves. The Gospel moves outward—the Spirit pushed the disciples from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria and to the very ends of the earth. The disciples were sent. But there is just as surely an inward movement to the Gospel, drawing in those who ha...

Breaking Down Barriers, Part 1 - Going Toward Dave Williamson Acts 9:10-19 To me, it all starts with the simple response that Ananias spoke to God—the words that his prophets have spoken throughout God’s story: “Here I am. Send me.” To whom might God be sending you to extend a hand of peace? https://www.zumc.org/sermons
