Still Buffering

Okay, we have some serious opinions about commercials of the 90s, but who doesn't? They were all kinda the same, we all still remember ALL of them, and most importantly, we can't figure out what happened to them? We realized in the entire 3+ years of this show that we had NEVER dedicated an entire episode to the entity that is ~the internet~. So we're going deep to examine all those differences between the world pre and post internet, and why did we all take the same typing courses?? Rileigh's enjoying a beach vacation, so Sydnee and Teylor capitalize on the opportunity to reflect on all the great stuff about being an adult. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas Help support this show and unlock bonus content! Become a member at https://maximumfun.org/joinbuffering

Upon a recent trip with Rileigh to the mall, Sydnee made a shocking discovery: teens don't wear tons of jewelry anymore??? What ever happened to the giant earring books and hemp chokers and toe rings?? We must investigate. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas Help support this show and unlock bonus content! We all made them as teens, you know, those homemade movies and videos that are horribly put together and have little to no actual plot but that we LOVED to make? The only difference now is that teens are putting all of them on the internet...which actually is a pretty big difference now that we think about it. It's almost summertime, which means the teens will be home all day every day and looking for something to do. So what are some fun activities for the modern teen who's bored? The older sisters had some methods of their own for killing time, and they're...interesting. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas Help support this show and unlock bonus content! It's finals season for Rileigh, and it seems like sleep is one key part of life that she isn't doing too great on. Not to mention curfews, party times, and how late we get to sleep in, the sisters all have some sleep habits they probably could do better on, so let's try to get some rest, shall we? It's been a bit of a rough week for all of us, hasn't it? We started it all off with Tax Day, and we should have known then it'd be a little bit of a bad one. So to celebrate(?) the holiday that is tax season, we're talking about money! What do you do with it once you get it as a teen for the first time? What are taxes? Is credit a thing? Is debt good? Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvell...

Well, our sisters have returned on no day other than National Sibling Day! IT'S STILL THE MAXFUNDRIVE! To wrap-up and continue to celebrate this joyous season, we're continuing a tradition we started last year during the MaxFunDrive. Does Rileigh know anything about 90s teens? Or anything about the 90s at all...

We've talked a lot before about the growing "woke-ness" of this generation, but we haven't spent much time discussing how it is helping our planet. Back in the day, teens knew to recycle and cut those plastic rings, but what else have teens learned throughout the years? Are we really helping? Are ducks okay??? The older sisters realized that back in the day there would be widespread cultural moments that thousands of teens everywhere shared, whether it was as a TV series finale or a new album release, there were things to share with people you'd never meet. Do those even still exist for the teens of today? Does live tweeting count? Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas Help support this show a...

As we all continue on our path to a tidy living space, we've realized that as teens we can tend to keep a lot of "sentimental" things that we really probably shouldn't, or maybe even throw out things that we wish we hadn't. So let's talk about what we really really should keep and what could maybe be tossed, like every movie ticket you've ever received *cough Rileigh cough*. Music: "Baby You Chang...

All we can talk about this week is the disaster that was the Fyre Festival, so we wanted to find a way we could talk about it on our podcast, and we did! Influencers played a huge role in the Fyre Fest and they weren't even around a decade or so ago, so what are they and where did they come from? Also how do dogs poop when it's this cold?? We all made it to Seattle for the podcasting event of the year, PodCon2! To commemorate this momentous occasion, we're hosting the first ever "Young Adult Selection Commendations" or something like that that won't get us in trouble for copyright. We're pitting greats like The Hunger Games against...Bunnicula? And the results are definitely going to surprise you. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind"...
