Romans 12:1-2 states that we can be made brand new, by having our thoughts renewed by God. Where old thinking doesn't line up with what the Bible says, we can choose to think new thoughts. We are tempted to believe that if we have all the right presents and all the right people around the tree that we will experience all the peace and love that we long for.
