Message in the Be Joyful series through Philippians. Pastor Robert Rohlin takes up one of the most misunderstood commands in the New Testament: "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12). Paul says work OUT, not work FOR, and that one word makes all the difference. Writing under house arrest in Rome, 800 miles from Philippi, Paul commends a church whose obedience neve...

For this Sunday night we find ourselves in 2nd Samuel, looking at the story of Mephibosheth. But in this message we do not focus on Him, or David, but rather taking a look at Ziba and his willingness to be a servant.

Becoming Like Jesus Christ-Centered Faith: Becoming Like the One We Believe Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 8–10; Philippians 1:9–11; 1 Corinthians 13 This message emphasizes that authentic, Christ-centered faith is more than believing something about Jesus; it is believing Him in such a way that we are continually becoming more like Him. Everyone is becoming who and what they believe, and wha...

Jospeh being an eminent type of Jesus Christ is set as a governor over the storehouses of Egypt. Jospeh finds himself in a glorious position, with a glorious provision, for a glorious purpose. In all these things Jesus Christ is all the more glorious.

This passage is a lot more meaningful if you can have a better understanding of the word for "sure" and the word for "simple". Sure is used by Paul and Peter in the New Testament and compared to their experience with Christ. The word for simple is actually a word that means an open-gate or door. And the image here is compared to our mind that has an open gate with no filter to keep things out or k...
