Hindsightless

It's official. I am, once again, part of the working world. No longer will I have endless free time to plum the depths of gaming minutia. This makes me sad. This opportunity I have is really amazing though. I'll be working directly to better the lives of people. I'm stoked! I'm also stoked about these two messages. A wicked warm congratulatory message from Spencer and an explosive thought experime...

The countdown to my first day on the new job has begun in earnest and I wanted to get in one more episode before the big day. I have a lot to say about last night's totally kick ass session of Rise of the Runelords (major spoilers for Book 4) and I have two awesome messages from Shawn and Jason. Is that one message from each? Two messages each? Some other ratio of messages to caller? Answers to th...

I talk about the first session with my new character, respond to a couple of call in's, and talk about the future. Thanks to Jason, Karl and Barney for the messages. You boys are awesome!

A collection of call in’s. A myriad of messages. A voluminous mass of voice mails. I’m a lucky boy😎 A gigantic thank you to: John of Red Dice Diaries Collin of Spikepit Jason of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast Barney of Loco Ludus Shawn of An Eldritch Dream Games You dudes are awesome!

The tale of my most recent session of our Rise of the Runelords campaign. There are a couple of spoilers for the adventure path, so listen at your own risk. I have a slew of voice messages about my last episode, but I wasn't in the right head space to play them in this episode. I'll get to them next time. I promise.

Jason of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast was kind enough to leave me some messages about the upcoming Dune movie. Turns out I have stuff to say about it, too. With the world being as messed up and scary as it is today, this quote from Dune is more true now than ever before; "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over...

Here I go again on my own. Going down the only road I've ever known. Although, unlike a drifter, I apparently was not born to walk alone because a bunch of super rad people called me. So I made up my mind to share them with you.  I got messages about story games from Barney, jargon from Colin, and labels from John. Most importantly of all, I received some whispered words of wisdom from the inscrut...

Folks had stuff to say and here it is. By folks I mean Jason, Barney and Karl. Luckily, none of these message  consist of anyone correcting me, disagreeing with me, or talking trash to me. Oh wait...🤣 A big thank you to Barney, Jason and Carl with a K. Sometimes speech to text is a pain in the ass😎🤷‍♂️🤘

This one starts off hot so maybe don’t listen to it with kids in the car😎 There’s some singing, discussion of character death, and amazing voice messages from Barney, John, and Collin.

I talk about the thing from the Rise of the Rune Lord’s game that I wanted to talk about last episode but I forgot. Next, I also touch on the things one can learn from not running a great session. Lastly, but most importantly, I have some call in’s from the amazing Spencer of Keep off the borderlands and Jason from nerds RPG variety cast

After another short sent away I have returns.

I realized I had more to say after I stopped recording yesterday so here is another episode. I talk a little bit about the challenges of running a West marches style game online at what I am working on to try and overcome those challenges. Then I have two great Collins from Spencer and Jason. Super happy to be back!

After a short hiatus I have returned! I’ve played a bunch of games with a slew of amazing people lately and I want to talk about them.

It’s over. The end is here. Congratulations to everyone who went on this wild and crazy ride.

A super brief episode because I don’t have much to say.

In this episode I discuss how most drivers are far worse at driving than they actually think and about the coolest mode of conveyance I’ve used in a role-playing game. There’s also a totally rocking call in from Colin

A slightly melancholic examination of the word close and two of its possible meanings. I apologize in advance for the intro but I simply couldn’t help myself. I promise I’ll never do that again😎

An episode entirely inspired by a series of awesome messages from Karl🤘

This one goes all over the place for sure. A meandering waltz through my strange brain space. I wander through thank yous, talking about why I'm hard on myself sometimes, asking you a question, giving props to Andy, and talking about dope ass beats. Thanks for the messages and well wishes to Karl and Spikepit.

I’m free, I’m home, and I have stuff to say about leverage.

This is more of a plea for help and a record of what might have happened to me if I suddenly disappear then an episode. I am very scared.

I have a message for Nate Fishbreath, or whatever his name is, about the nonsense he’s spewing on his show that I have never ever ever listen to a single time.

In this episode I discuss how it went for me running a game online using roll 20 for the first time.

New insights on Leon Farmer’s continued investigation of sleeps cousin.
