Grindbin Podcast - Grindhouse and Exploitation Films

Mann returns to the bin as Summer Sequel Month 2021 kicks off with the last in the Death Wish series. A confounding entry into the Death Wish series featuring an incredibly old Bronson barely even picking up a gun. Directed by someone with no connection to the past films and produced by only one of the Cannon guys, the movie is saved by an amazing performance from Michael Parks and baffling death...

Prepare for one of the strangest movies to ever hit the bin, The Baby (1973) is outlandish, depraved, and a perfect pick for this show. Eddie, Candice, Tim, and Mike break down a movie about a grown man living as an infant.

Duncan Jax is back! Who? Did you know there was a series of James Bond rip-off movies starring a middle aged man and his Baboon partner? Does the Baboon drive a mini tank? The Patreon poll winner for July is a wild ride.

The bin is back with an amazing "film" written, directed, and starring John De Hart. If you like episodes like Demon Cop, Lost Faith or Miami Connection, you'll love this movie. Co-starring an incredibly drunk Wings Hauser with Grindbin All-Stars William Smith and Pamela Jean Bryant, Champagne and Bullets (also called GetEven or Road to Revenge) is an incredible ride.

If you enjoy a Grindbin episode that goes completely off the track, you'll LOVE this one. More of an experience than an episode, Hi-Riders took two recording sessions, multiple guests, and hours of editing to bring you one of the most insane episodes of the Grindbin ever produced. Also... we talk about a movie.

Why are Catwoman, Ginger from Gilligans Island, and John Carradine in a softcore slasher movie from the 1980s? We have no idea but we are SO glad we watched this.  Thanks to Patreon member Aaron WC for the pick!

Major life changes have prevented Mike from editing a main feed episode this week. Please enjoy this epic mini bin from our Patreon feed in the meantime.

The Patreon Poll winner for May, Santo and Blue Demon vs. the Monsters (1970) finally brings a Santo movie to the Grindbin! What an incredible movie filled with third-rate monsters, make out Santo masks, and lots and lots of Santo reading newspapers... what more could you ask for!

Massacre at Central High is an amazing exploitation film from the 1970's. An allegory for the rise of fascism under the facade of a high school movie... what more could you ask for?! Thanks to Gman from the Patreon for his pick.

Bobby returns to the Grindbin and joins Candice, Charlie, and Mike to discuss a Troma "classic" featuring a younger Billy Bob Thornton. Thanks to our Patreon member Kady for the pick!

Faustus, Nick, Bobby, and Mike discuss the best movie to ever be on the Grindbin. John Woo's Hard Boiled is one of the greatest action movies of all time and is a classic of Hong Kong cinema. Da da da da da da da...Tequila!

Frank Stallone makes his Grindbin debut alongside Grindbin hall of famer Cameron Mitchell in one of the worst movies we've ever covered on the show. Did Cameron Mitchell find the perfect level of drunk? Did he read the script? Will he read it during a take in this movie?

Mann returns to the bin to talk with Vaughn, Bobby, and Mike about the Bruce Campbell, Walter Koenig sci-fi "classic" Moontrap! Robots on the moon, Chekov getting busy, and Bruce Campbell drop kicking vending machines; what more do you need?!

Bobby, Tim, Sir Charles, and Mike discuss Tim's long-awaited pick on the Grindbin, 1974's Beyond the Door. A movie he saw in the theater as a child while sitting next to a bloody kid and a bunch of guys in trench coats in Times Square. So pop open that can of Campbell's and grab a straw, this is an episode you'll never forget.

Tim, James, the McCollums, and Mike discuss one of the strangest movies to ever appear on the Grindbin. Traxx, a disgraced ex-cop and retired mercenary, just wants to live a quiet life in the Texas town he now calls home. He murders 90% of the population, takes down a mob ring, nearly gets a team of little leaguers killed, and has sex with the mayor... all so he can open his crappy cookie shop. Th...

Bobby and Mike are joined by Spencer and Joel from the Shoot the Piano Player: A French New Wave Podcast to discuss the 1965 Italian schlockfest Bloody Pit of Horror starring an oiled up Mickey Hargitay dressed like a sexy Domino's Noid... you read that right.

Never Too Young to Die is by far one of the craziest movies to ever appear on the bin. John Stamos as James Bond Jr., Gene Simmons in drag, Mike has a personal connection to one of the crew members, and Daniel gives the worst/best van theory in the history of the Grindbin.

Bobby, Brody, Terry, and Mike discuss the 1982 horror film that features an incredible cast of Jack Palance, Martin Landau, and Donald Pleasence! Directed by Jack Sholder (Nightmare on Elm Street 2), Alone in the Dark is a glorious mess of a movie that is elevated by bizarre performances from multiple Academy Award winners.

Laser Mission is truly in the upper tier of Grindbin movies. A banging theme song, horrible acting, shirt sheik, Ernest Borgnine, and not a single laser; what more could you want?! It's a movie that must be seen to be believed... Thanks to Aaron WC for the amazing Patreon pick... you can also get your pick on the show, find out at patreon.com/grindbin
