Anime Pulse

What’s this? I don’t know if it’s the booze or not but I’m seeing double. Two manga reviews in the same show? We take the heavy effort of picking up the books, reading them, then scrambling to get the equipment fired up and working. We might also develop some sort of opinion about them and apply a rating. Once we’ve wandered off into the weeds so far we’re finding golf balls. Tim has Ninja Slayer...

This week on Anime Pulse we got Himalayan burgers, magical courtrooms, and technical difficulties in multiplayer. Up first is the usual IRL news as Joseph has finally moved forward in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Andrew asks us for our top wizards/mages in anime. Then in the industry news it's a solo helping from Joseph, as he wishes his digestive system was 10 years younger so he could partake of...

Ring ring, rookie. Scarf a pop tart and knock back a double cup of coffee. Night shift starts in fifteen minutes. No one cares if your work shirt hasn’t been laundered. Slather on some deodorant and hop on the bus. You’re going for a ride in Bringing out the Dead(1999). We’re reaching back in the career of one Nic Cage. Back when his visage wasn’t on every straight to red box dvd film. Follow alon...

favorite romantic dates in anime. Then in the industry news the potatoes come up short again but this time not for McDonalds, and Crunchyroll hold a totally fair and honest poll on the best anime of late year. Lastly the reviews see us out with Joseph delving deep into the darkest dungeon, and Andrew attempts to deal with a boisterous troublemaker who confesses his love for him.

Let’s see. Bills. Junk mail. Offers to buy a house the show doesn’t own. Vote Romney for President? How long has it been since we’ve looked at our inbox proper? Not that long because we have some requests which we address. And much quicker than we do letters to the editor for some defunct BDSM magazine we keep getting. Tim has Boruto. The sequel to Naruto that no one asked for. Set years after Nar...

This week on Anime Pulse we got square burgers, ultra cringe harems, and goofy antagonists. Up first the IRL news has Joseph shoveling himself out of ice and snow, and Andrew runs his first Mario Party stream. Then in the industry news we make a sandwich out of Andrew with updates on the Potato Shortage and an author not being able to handle the criticisms. Lastly is the final Gattai show as Josep...

Just like the Twin Galaxies we hold absolutely all the world records. Unsurprisingly they are all related to our own show. Most consecutive episodes of Popcorn Pulse? For the one hundredth and sixty sixth time it goes to us…us! Take that, podcasts which aren’t even in the running. We decided that we’d go to a modern release with Matrix Resurrections[2022]. Did you guess it would be garbage?...

This week on Anime Pulse we got Joseph passing on an isekai, the philosophy behind what counts as artificial life, and a really dumb looking ad. Up first the IRL news has Joseph excited for his new iMac, and Andrew asks us what our favorite robots in anime are. Then in the industry news we got a Joseph Sandwich with rice balls between a biscuit and America, was that a bit vague? Too bad! Listen to...

Warning, awkward audio dips as we kept looking away from the mics. We made some adjustments to the output but it’s still going to be off a bit. Let’s say, hypothetically, you wanted to listen to a show. Also hypothetically, you had access to two of the most hinged people on the internet? Yes, I said hinged. These men, titans among capybaras, are the polar opposite of unhinged. They might even be s...

This week on Anime Pulse we got more updates on the French Fry war of 2022, knock-off Komi-san, and Super Mario XCOM. Up first IRL news sees Joseph return to performing Magic, and Andrew would like to know who our first anime crush was. Then in the industry news we make one last trip to look back at the disaster known as High Guardian Spice, and even more participants in the Japanese Potato shorta...

This week on VG Pulse, it’s been a slow and weird month! We start off with side notes of the weird slog that is January, before diving into the regular news where we discuss Take Two gaining the title of biggest acquisition deal of all time… for all of a week, before Microsoft actually takes that title with it’s own acquisition deal!! We have a great discussion about the state of the A...

If you were anywhere near a TV in the late nineties you were exposed to Ashton Kutcher and Sean Williams Scott shouting dude and sweet at each other. A gag which Tim swears goes on for a third of an eternity. That’s right, we’ve got a comedy today in the form of Dude, Where’s My Car[2000]. What happens when a pair of stoners wake up from a bender with their car being lost? Also, is it a bender if...

This week on Anime Pulse we got a new season of anime, potato wars, and incoming snow storms. Up first Joseph is scratching his monkey brain over why his iMac is getting so hot, and Andrew asks the community what anime they are hyped for this season. Then in the industry news a rival chain to McDonalds ups the ante, and a super cosplayer amazes with the sheer number of outfits she owns. Lastly in...

There are twin cities out there. You have to be careful though because there are fraternal and paternal. Fraternal twin cities share a geography only. Paternal twin cities are ones that were originally founded by the same person but divided because of prohibition or some similar legal disagreement. Which is why New York and Los Angeles are so far apart. New York decided that living in a hole with...
