Day 85: We are enjoying a zero in Delaware Water Gap. To celebrate we are thinking about what makes a great town stop. Mileage: 1296-1296

Day 84: We made to the Delaware River! I was pretty busy with chores today, so this is a boring update. Mileage: 1281-1296

Day 83: Lehigh Gap was the highlight of PA! How did we celebrate? More rocks of course. Mileage: 1260-1281

Day 82: We still hate PA! Giggles hosts as we discuss how to keep ourselves motivated in boring, painful terrain. We had a laughing/coughing fit early in this episode, so skip to 3:18 if you want to jump to the good stuff. Mileage: 1235-1260

Day 81: Mello hosts a “MTV Cribs” style show in which we show off our tents! Visual aids: https://thetrek.co/best-thru-hiking-tents/ Mileage: 1220-1235

Day 80: More rocks + no views = PA. While spending time in Port Clinton, we discover a crime most foul. Mileage: 1196-1220

Day 79: Another relatively easy day, so we go to the prompt bank to get the tramily’s thoughts on what it means to be “Hiker Trash.” Mileage: 1178-1196

Day 78: Just meh…. Mileage: 1160-1178

Day 77: In and out in Duncannon, PA! It is a nice town, but we didn’t stay long. Also, Nick (Ozark’s partner) joins us. Mileage: 1138-1160

Day 76: Pop met the tramily! It was a very wholesome morning in Boiling Springs. Then we walked 14 miles through farm fields. Ick. Mileage: 1124-1138

Day 75: A quick 19 miler to meet up with my dad! Mileage: 1105-1124

Day 74: We made to halfway! Time to celebrate with a notorious ice cream challenge. Mileage: 1082-1105

Day 73: We made it to the Keystone State and are days away from halfway. Mileage: 1061-1082

Day 72: We’ve been enjoying the lovely amenities of Maryland’s section on the AT. Amazing shelters, backpackers-only showers, and more. I’m glad we didn’t rush through this state! Mileage: 1041-1061

Day 71: Off to Maryland! We are making our way through a gorgeous but quick stretch of trail. Mileage 1025-1041

Day 70: A well-earned zero in Harper’s Ferry! We ate, walked around, ate more, and made ourselves merry in this historic setting. Mileage: 1025

Day 69: We made it to West Virginia! Time to reflect back on over 550 miles of the longest state on the AT. Warning - we get a little goofy in this one! Mileage: 1005-1025

Day 68: We reached a thousand miles!! WTF!! Just one more day in VA. Mileage: 979-1005

Day 67: A hero day (10 miles) into Front Royal and back to trail for the books. Mileage: 969-979

Day 66: We finished Shenandoah! It feels good to knock out 100+ miles in five days. Now we make way for Harper’s Ferry. Mileage: 945-969

Day 65: Everyone deserves an easy day now and then! We hiked 15 miles and took loads of long breaks to enjoy Skyland Resort, trail magic from Suds, and to avoid rain. Mileage 930-945

Day 64: Three days in the Shenandoah. A wayside, a campstore, and 24 miles down. Mileage 906-930

Day 63: It might not sound like it, but each day has its own lows that are challenging to overcome out here. Today we talk about what helps us overcome a bad mood on trail. Mileage 885-906

Day 62: We made it to our second national park! I love Shenandoah and am so happy to be back. Over the next five days we will walk the entire length of the park, as the AT forms it’s backbone in conjunction with Skyline Drive. Mileage: 864-885

Day 61: An easy day into Waynesboro, VA. A short five miles before hanging out at Stanimal’s hostel to get set for the Shenandoah National Park! Mileage: 859-864
