The XboxCast

We're recording this by ourselves... Let's see how this goes!   In this episode, we cover a bunch of people who have left other game studios and moved to the super secretive The Initiative. There is a pattern emerging, and it seems its good news for Team Green. Monster Hunter: World gets an update, and Lee forgets to mute his laptop, Apex Legends gets an awesome looking short story movie, and Sa...

While we're stuck at home, we seem to be even more disorganized! How does that work?    The news is in a shambles! It's all over the place! Seriously, what is going on? It seems everything is waiting for some reveal events coming soon... I wonder what it could be?   NVidia GeForce Now is losing all the Xbox Game Studio games, you can now dance for free (because you couldn't before), we're awfully...

#AprilAchievementChallenge is in full swing, but are you prepared for a shocking revelation?    The nice thing about this challenge is that it forces all of us to play many different games, and it has lead to some interesting outcomes. And who knew the Telltale games were so good? Certainly not Kyle! Going all the way back to 2013 with Ryse, 2014 with Sunset Overdrive and 1997 with Age of Empire...

But alas, we now have digital events to look forward to. So more and more info is going to be trickling out slow...

Everything is being cancelled. And all the news that would have come out, hasn't!  So this is a very quiet week...    And what do we do with quiet weeks? Well we pad them out as much as possible! Thats right, non-stop nonsense from beginning to end as we try to find stuff to talk about.  The Xbox Series X allows you to resume games after a reboot - which has us even more hyped. Fortnite and GTA...

We have three very important announcements! What are they? Are they exciting?    You'll have to listen to find out...    In another twist, Kyle is still playing *all* the games while Lee is stuck on two. I mean, even Simone is playing more games than Lee at the moment. No wonder the universe feels slightly odd currently...  Kyle surrenders Outer Wilds for now, gets super confused in No Man's Sky,...

Although the terminator event does sound exciting...    Simone and Kyle both played Slay the Spire, which is on Game Pass for PC and doesn't have achievements, so you can play it casually! Finally, a game that gets us! And it also happens to b...

All the way from the land of drop-bears and bouncy boxers, Jeremy is back!    Jeremy was our very first Patreon, and without his support and belief in us, we probably wouldn't be nearly as 'good' as we are now. His feedback has helped shape the podcast over the years. Its a pleasure to have him as our first international guest.   Thanks to the wonders of Skype, and being alive at the same time,...

It was a quiet week, then we happened...    Lee decides its time to troll Kyle with the Gameplay chart this week... But then its turned around with news that Bioware is officially redesigning Anthem! And the choir of angels all sing. New Zealand's game industry is growing every year. Seriously, well done guys! Xbox Game Pass gets more games added, and more games taken away. Game Pass giveth and...

Can you tell we're a bit unorganized?  Because we totally aren't! We're on top of things! We promise...   Game play charts have not moved in a while, titles leaving Game Pass and Xbox Adaptive Controller is allowing wheelchairs to become Xbox Controllers! As you can tell, the news has no rhyme or reason this episode... We're just into everything from the get go. Quite a lot of news for the start...

Its the show you've been waiting for. The last official episode of the year and we're presenting the 3rd annual Xboxcast Game Awards!    Like any typical award show, the categories are made up and the points don't matter. With that in mind we don't have a clear winner or loser, or even nominations. We go purely by personal preference. Because that way, we can't be wrong! Its a complete win-win sit...

We're gearing up for our very own Game Awards show! And you get to chime in. Head on over to our Patreon page for more info...    Its been a really quiet week on the news front, with everyone holding off on end-of-year announcements till the televised Game Awards. But that wont stop us! From State of Decay 2 to Halo: Reach, we're talking about Microsoft games coming to Steam. Along with some reall...

A little Star Wars game was released and our very favourite game reviewer has been playing it!  Thats right, Simone reviews Jedi: Fallen Order.    Lee managed to get into the West of Dead Beta and gives us his thoughts on that, which makes it sound harder than it is. It can't be that difficult, can it? Its not like its a Souls game...   Meanwhile, Kyle has decided to up his completion ratio. Why...

The stores are starting to play Christmas music, so you know what that means?  Another 'Game Awards' show! Playground Games might have given us a glimpse into Fable 4, but all we can do is wait. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare seems to be divisive, and even more so...
