The Quantum Mechanics - Paranormal Podcast

In 1998 a revolutionary cute interactive toy was launched. Most Furby owners had hours of fun, but for some the experience was closer to something from a Halloween horror movie. Many conspiracy theories followed, the toy was a spying device, was controlling our children, even had a hive mind. We investigate how a toy that looked like the cute version of Gizmo from Gremlins (there's a conspirac...

The most famous magic trick in the world has infiltrated our culture for years. In its originally described format, it appears to be a feat of impossibility - and it very well might be. This week we go into the story of the magic that never really existed. Beyond the famous Aintree racecourse lies a darker mystery. For decades, silent processions of hooded, torch-bearing figures haunted a local field. Witnesses, terrified by the Klan-like apparitions, reported sightings stretching from World War II into the 1970s. Who were the Aintree Spectres? Were they ghosts, a secretive far-right group, or an extreme religious sect? Join us as we delve into the...

We dive into Carl Jung’s paranormal side. We’re not just unpacking his psychology—we’re tracing his encounters with hauntings, synchronicity, and the uncanny that shaped his most enduring ideas: the collective unconscious, archetypes, and a universe that feels alive. From childhood oddities to a famously haunted London cottage, discover how Jung’s experiences coloured his theory of meaning, coinci...

Nice to see you. This week, a British legend that refuses to die; A "Man-Monkey" on a lonely canal has evolved into something far more tangible and terrifying. We discus a history of animal killings and a high-level cover-up at a grand stately home, where staff were warned to keep quiet about the "hairy man-beast" stalking the grounds. We then track a recent wave of terrifying...

Following our deep dives into uncovered languages, we look at the work of Albert E. Potts who has evidence that the Bible isn't the story of a deity creating the world, but the cold experimental notes of a race of beings who changed the DNA of our ancestors to form a new intelligence on our planet.  We look at his reasoning, and the work that supports his claims. But it's not always just a...

We investigate Linda Moulton Howe's intriguing work on the subject of alien languages that have either been viewed, or telepathically communicated. We examine the idea that humans are containers - something that comes up a lot in alien encounter stories - and the fact that we may all just be an experiment. A strong drink is recommended. In this episode we examine how the dual-slit experiment could infer trans-dimensional creatures - and it's quite a story. In the 1990s strange, potentially alien, creatures were captured on film. They were called Skyfish or Air Rods. If you thought this phenomena was disproved as just a camera glitch, think again. One man has captured what he says are the real thing, and has a theory as to wha...

A number of soothsayers, spanning hundreds of years, all seem to have made similar predictions relating to the 21st century and beyond. On a bitter February day in 1978, 23-year-old Steven Kubacki disappeared, leaving prints in the snow that abruptly halted - as if he'd simply vanished into thin air. What happened 15 months later was wild, to say the least - almost as wild as the theories of time manipulation we discuss. Was 300 years inserted into our timeline? Are we actually living in the 1700s? Find out about all of this, and...
