How can you say, 'You will be made free'?"  34 Jesus answered the...

Send us Fan Mail In this section of Scripture, Jesus is once again confronting the religious people (the Pharisee’s and Scribes) who think they can get to Heaven by doing some good work.  Jesus has stopped these people from stoning a woman “they say” was caught in the very act of adultery, declared He is the Light of the world, has told them again who He is.  Now they are saying He is going to kil...

Send us Fan Mail John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." 13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, "You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true." 14 Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know whe...

Send us Fan Mail In this very familiar section of Scripture we will see that God is a forgiving God and He is willing to forgive us too if we will only repent of our sins and come to Him as the only way to really be forgiven and saved.  Jesus has performed several miracles in the book of John, He has told them He is God, He has forgiven the town prostitute (The Samaritan Woman), He has walked on t...

Send us Fan Mail Jesus tells us in this passage that the true believer will keep the commandments of God.  1 John 5:3 says For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. In other words if we really are saved then we will keep His commands and they will be a joy not something we dislike or hate to do.  The Psalmist said in 119:97 how I love thy...

Send us Fan Mail In this section of Scripture we will see the Pharisees trying to arrest Jesus because too many people believe in Him and they are losing their popularity and prestige.  The people are still divided and the Pharisees are divided and nobody can lay a hand on Jesus because His time still has not come for Him to die on the cross.  The officers (the Temple Police) cannot believe the th...

Send us Fan Mail In this great section of Scripture we see Jesus get to the crux of the matter, without Him life is nothing, without Him, life is meaningless and useless.  But, when Christ’s Spirit Romans 8:9 (The Holy Spirit) comes to dwell in you because you have believed that Jesus died on the Cross, was buried and rose again the third day and have confessed that He is the Lord of your life, th...

Send us Fan Mail What is it that God is saying to you and me today that we need to hear and obey?  Has He asked us to do something or quit something?  We need to always be attentive to hear that still small voice of God that speaks and obey immediately when we hear it.        Mark 8:36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?              John 14:6 J...

Send us Fan Mail In this section of Scripture we see some of the people confused because they know the rulers want to and even have tried to kill Jesus; but yet, Jesus is boldly teaching and preaching.  They wonder if the Pharisees really know Jesus is the Christ and that is why they do not touch Him.  Little do they know that it is not Jesus’s time to go to the cross and die and that is why they...

Send us Fan Mail If we are Christians we have been redeemed (saved) and can praise God because He has forgiven all our sin and blessed us in ways that we could not even begin to understand. In churches we they used to have a time where they would say let the redeemed of the Lord say so and people would stand up and give a testimony of how good God was and how He had worked in their life. Would you...

Send us Fan Mail We are taking one more closer look at this section of scripture because this time I want to focus on verse 18 that speaks to Jesus being the true one from God, who seeks not His own glory, but that of the Father. The Bible uses the word glory 351 times. 17 times in Bible it talks specifically about glory of God, but all the whole Bible is about God and His Glory.  That is why we c...

Send us Fan Mail I would like to speak a minute to all of you who are actually Christians. Isn’t it about time we quit fighting over a petty doctrinal issues and things that divide us and remember that we are in a war, that we fight not against flesh and blood but against powers and rulers and wickedness in heavenly places. Are you staying firm in the faith, are you standing for what the Bible say...

Send us Fan Mail In Matthew 7 Jesus speaks and says “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from...

Send us Fan Mail John 7:14 Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 And the Jews marveled, saying, "How does this Man know letters, having never studied?" 16 Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17 "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whethe...

Send us Fan Mail Luke 16:31 Says “But Jesus said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’ ” Jesus is speaking to a man who has gone to hell and is always in torment.  He wasted his life chasing the things of this world and lost his opportunity to go to heaven and wants Abraham to send someone from the dead to go to h...

Send us Fan Mail In this final lesson on the Bread of Life Discourse, Jesus goes from having thousands of followers down to maybe only the 12 who become the apostles, certainly not many are left.  This goes to show you that not all people who go to church or follow Jesus are the real thing.  The parable of the four soils or seeds makes this very clear.  This is not four different kinds of Christia...

Send us Fan Mail In this second part of the Bread of Life Discourse Jesus is going to drive the final wedge between Himself and the Religious folks.  They aren’t really interested in knowing who He is, so He will make it harder and harder to have anything to do with Him.  Jesus really loves us all, but when we keep on rejecting Him then He finally makes us hard and it’s not that He cannot save us,...

Send us Fan Mail God is never wrong in anything He does. He knows all and can judge rightly and in a manner that is completely just in how He does it. Those that know Him understand that the judge of this world always does right and praise Him for it. Send us Fan Mail   In this great section of scripture, Jesus tells them He is THE BREAD OF LIFE andHe who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.  This is the greatest truth of the Bible that Jesus is God and He is the all satisfying Savior.  All the wants and all the desires we have are met in Him. A song was written that says I can’t get no satisfaction, I t...

Send us Fan Mail  In this section of Scripture we will see Jesus really come to the heart of the matter.  They want signs, He wants their salvation.  The want food, He wants faith. They want to work to please God. He wants them to come freely.  Jesus wants us to understand that He is the only way to heaven, that the signs written about in the Old Testament pointed to Him being the reality.  Jesus...

Send us Fan Mail In Luke 4:4 Jesus said, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. This is when Jesus is being tempted in the wilderness.  If Jesus is quoting this as He is being tempted, how much more do you think we need to read, know and memorize the Word of God.  In 2 Peter 1:3 it says His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and g...
