In Luke 16, Jesus teaches a parable on a topic He preaches on quite often...hell and how we can avoid it!

If you've been around church for any amount of time, you've probably heard a sermon or two preached on the parable of the prodigal son and the lost sheep. The question is, are we getting the main point of those stories?

In Luke 14, Jesus uses an invitation to dinner at a leader of the Pharisees house to teach three (!) different parables on the topic of dinners, and what He teaches might surprise you, because it’s not how a lot of Christians, or churches, act today.

In yet another parable, we see Jesus teaching us through the illustration of growth. So what can we learn through the soil illustrations Jesus gives us in Luke 8?

In a strange illustration, the parable Jesus gives us in Luke 7 appears to teach us that we're better off growing in debt. And while there is spiritual truth to this, we have to apply it cautiously.
