The DC3cast!

Zach's back, baby! The proud father of a child with some hilariously on-brand initials returns to the program in time to discuss "Infinite Frontier" #1, catch up on [most] of the titles and, of course, goof around with his lads. Titles discussed: "Infinite Frontier" #1 "Action Comics" #1032 "Checkmate" #1 "Detective Comics" #1038 "Robin" #3 "Teen Titans Academy" #4

Brian and Vince gather for the final Zach-free show! A "Catwoman" fill-in artist gets some love, as does just about every artist discussed this week. Plus, Brian Stack is referenced for the umpteenth time on the show. Titles discussed: "Catwoman" #32 "The Flash" #771 "Nightwing" #81 "Static: Season One" #1 "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" #1

This week, we run through the "DC Pride" #1 special, talking about the (mostly really good!) stories. In the second half of the show, we discuss the other, nearly all Bat-focused, titles of the week. Also, since Zach is still away, Brian and Vince go on a Dan Aykroyd tangent.  Titles discussed: "Batman: The Detective" #3 "Batman: Urban Legends" #4 "DC Pride" #1 "Detective Comics" #1037 "Futur...

Brian and Vince hit a wall with some of the 'Infinite Frontier' titles and try to figure out exactly why that is. But, they really enjoy "Crush and Lobo" #1 and half of "Green Lantern" #3. Titles discussed: "Batman" #109 "Crime Syndicate" #4 "Crush and Lobo" #1 "Green Lantern" #3 "Justice League" #62 "Suicide Squad" #4 "The Swamp Thing" #4

This week, there are a few number ones to keep Brian and Vince on their toes, as well as 'more of the same,' not in a bad way, in a few of the other titles. Plus, a long discussion of hypertime and a theory of alien integration into the DC Universe. Titles discussed: "Action Comics" #1031 "Batman Superman" #18 "Detective Comics" #1036 "Harley Quinn" #3 "Mister Miracle Source of Freedom" #1 "Robin"...

The Dynamic Duo of Vince and Brian soldier on while Zach is still on paternity leave. We've got a new series, a fun couple of Gotham series, and more Farmer's Only chat than usual. Titles reviewed: "Catwoman" #31 "The Flash" #770 "Justice League" #61 "Nightwing" #80 "Wonder Girl" #1

Brian and Vince are joined - again! - by their old pal Walter for an extended episode! DC released a couple of non-'Infinite Frontier' titles, and we reviewed them all! Come for the 40 minutes of "it's fine!" chat about a single anthology, stay for the continued effusive praise for "The Joker." Titles reviewed: "Batman: The Detective" #2 "Batman: Urban Legends" #3 "DC Festival of Heroes The Asian...

We have officially begun the third month of 'Infinite Frontier!' The first week of the month, for this event, has had some of the highest highs and lowest lows thus far, and so Vince and Brian dig into this week's releases to separate the wheat from the chaff. Titles discussed: "Batman" #108 "Crime Syndicate" #3 "Green Lantern" #2 "Suicide Squad" #3 "The Swamp Thing" #3

Vince and Brian are joined by friend and fellow Multiversity podcaster Walter Richardson this week. The boys discuss the new Superman status quo starting in July, a bevy of Bat-books, and the new Mortal Kombat Robin comic. Books discussed: "Action Comics" #1030 "Batman/Superman" #17 "Detective Comics" #1035 "Harley Quinn" #2 "Robin" #1 "Teen Titans Academy" #2

Brian and Vince are, once again, Zach-less as they embark on the seventh week of 'Infinite Frontier.' Topics discussed include Sexy Black Adam, the artistic antecedents of Fernando Blanco on "Catwoman," "The Family Circus," and the surprising charm of Gold Beetle. Titles discussed: "Catwoman" #30 "The Flash" #769 "Justice League" #60 "Nightwing" #79

After a Zack Snyder detour, we are back, sans our own Zach for the first week of his paternity leave. But Brian and Vince soldier on with a look at two weeks worth of books, the 4/6 and 4/13 releases from DC Comics. Titles discussed: "Batman" #107 "Crime Syndicate" #2 "Green Lantern" #1 "Suicide Squad" #2 "The Swamp Thing" #2 "Batman: The Detective" #1 "Batman: Urban Legends" #2 "The Joker" #2 "Su...

The wait is over! 4 hours of bizarrely aspect ratio'd filmmaking is here on HBO Max. We used to joke that we had seen the Snyder Cut, but now we have. Come join us for a conversation about the film, the state of DC films, and lots more.

This week, with only one new title to discuss, the boys rank all 18 first issues of the 'Infinite Frontier' line. Will the boys repeat their "Trinity" mistake? Oh, absolutely. Will they at least admit it? Probably. Books discussed: "The Flash" #768

The Gotham status quo gets refined and expanded, the legacy train is running full speed, and the art is top notch across the board. So this is what it feels like when comics are really good, huh? Titles Reviewed: "Action Comics" #1029 "Batman/Superman" #16 "Detective Comics" #1034 "Harley Quinn" #1 "Teen Titans Academy" #1

'Infinite Frontier' marches on, and the boys dig into two Bat-adjacent books and a third title that features, you guessed it, Batman! Plus, discussions on the similarities to "Hawkeye," a very Bendis-y opening page, and Ram V's continued "Catwoman" story. Titles discussed: "Catwoman" #29 "Justice League" #59 "Nightwing" #78

The writer of the new "Teen Titans Academy" stops by the show to preview "Teen Titans Academy," the first issue of which hits stores on March 23rd. We discuss the cast, including a slew of new characters, Sheridan's transition from animation to comics, and the allure of legacy at DC Comics. And, of course, Red X.

In the second week of DC's new publishing initiative, the boys get a "Thor"-inspired Wonder Woman status quo, a Gotham-set anthology and, most shocking of all, a really good Joker comic! Titles discussed: "Batman Urban Legends" #1 "The Joker" #1 "Superman" #29 "Wonder Woman" #770

This week, the DC3cast celebrates the start of DC's newest initiative, 'Infinite Frontier.' The discussion of "Infinite Frontier" #0 takes up the first hour of the show, while the four other titles under this banner make up the last 45 minutes. It's a long one, strap in. Titles discussed: "Infinite Frontier" #0 "Batman" #106 "Crime Syndicate" #1 "Suicide Squad" #1 "The Swamp Thing" #1

Be warned, spoilers for "Infinite Frontier" #0 are all over this podcast! Our old pal, writer Joshua Williamson, sits down with Brian to go through "Infinite Frontier" #0. We don't just talk about that issue, however, as we also discuss how this status quo cam to be, what is to come in some of the book spinning out of #0, and go in depth on a few of the biggest revelations from the book.

Brian sat down with "Future State: House of El," "Future State: Superman Worlds of War," "Action Comics," and "Superman" scribe Phillip Kennedy Johnson to discuss his recent doings in the Superman books, his plans for Bibbo, and the difference between the two different Superman books he's writing.

The end is here! The eighth and final week of 'Future State' is here. After finishing out reviews of the last titles, the boys discuss the event as a whole and give their final assessment of the two-month publishing experiment. Books discussed: "Future State: Aquaman" #2 "Future State: Batman/Superman" #2 "Future State: Dark Detective" #4 "Future State: Superman House of El" #1 "Future State: Legi...

The boys dig into the penultimate week (sort of) of 'Future State' comics. This week brings a glimmer of hope into the darkness of Gotham, a look towards the 'Infinite Frontier' Superman books, and continue to be excited for anything Tim Sheridan is writing. Books discussed: "Future State: Catwoman" #2 "Future State: Immortal Wonder Woman" #2 "Future State: The Next Batman" #4 "Future State: Night...

The boys dig into the final issues of six 'Future State' titles, as well as the penultimate issue of "Dark Detective." This week has three of the best series, as well as some of the churn, but points a light towards the 'Infinite Frontier' ahead. Books discussed: "Future State: Dark Detective" #3 "Future State: Green Lantern" #2 "Future State: Justice League" #2 "Future State: Kara Zor-El, Superwo...

The boys encounter their first 'Future State' week without a #1, and begin to lament the rushed nature of most of these second issues. Issues discussed: "Future State: The Flash "#2 "Future State: Harley Quinn" #2 "Future State: The Next Batman" #3 "Future State: Superman of Metropolis" #2 "Future State: Swamp Thing" #2 "Future State: Wonder Woman "#2

We are at the final week of (mostly) new titles! The boys dig into the titles of the week, as well as reflect on the April Solicitations and the overall shape of DC in 2021.
